Diificult to believe

Bad news but obviously a prestigious job. Also no one gets sacked at the FA and you also get the opportunity to s**g the payroll although you may have to share her with others. Sorry it must be the heat

I think Chappers is a top bloke and I would like to thank him for what he has done for us. I would have liked him to have been given more opportunity in the Prem but he will do well in the Championship.

Friday 12 July 2013 0900 hours Luke Shaw is 18

the only value in this guy is the number of lbs you get for each £

Very good spot on about Wimpson area - outed after all these years - pretty easy to spot by the old bill in those days - most of us had hair onto shoulders and taches or beards before it became fashionable - Concorde Club at the Basset pub on a Monday - Ordnance Survey club in London Road - thrown out of all of them after raids - great place to be Southampton in the late 60s early 70s - still is of course. That is Dougal on the left but I have not seen him for over thirty years when I lost to him at darts at the Maybush Pub. Great bloke

all three please

I do not like it but my wife does and went to buy in today in West Quay but decided it was such poor quality she would not bother

Be careful in West Quay you might get killed in the rush

They were rubbish and who dd Kane have to bribe to get into the teram he was complete rubbish. Ward Prowse looked the only decent player there and when he was taken off (???????????) that was it. Another manager with no track record in a top FA job to be given the tin tack -
If you contact the club first and they give you permission then you can contact the agents. I do not see any reason why Celtic would not have done this for Cardiff as well as SFC.

I am furious are you? I was going to wait until tomorrow morning.

Thanks for that erudite reply. I posted as there were a number of differing views on the position. I know nothing and have not made that claim if you read the post. My colleague is an ex Celtic player, remains close to the club and was involved on the player side in the Rangers liquidation and could have been CEO at Pompey (help!). May I politely suggest he knows a lot more than some of the journo hacks being reported and a lot more than you petal. I was made aware of the outline player terms but I would never post that sort of thing only to say it was nowhere near £100k per week. Many thanks

As with all these things a lot of this is speculation. As this is running and running, I spoke to a business contact who has dealings with Celtic and the business side of football. SFC dealt with Celtic and agreed the fee stated in the press. The player was informed by Celtic. SFC contacted the agents who forwarded the players terms which were accepted by SFC. SFC asked to meet the players and agents to agree the deal formally. At that point the agents demanded £1 million which SFC refused and tried to negotiate the fee to a more reasonable level. The agents refused and repeated their demands and since then no player. Cardiff also agreed the players terms and the £1m fee but condensed both of these items into a lower bid of £10m. Celtic refused the £10m bid and said they would have to match SFC which Cardiff refused. My colleagues view is that the agents are hoping (i) SFC agree their £1m or (ii) Cardiff stump up the £2m without renegotiating downwards the agents fee or (iii) another club comes in and agree all of the previous. He has seen most of Celtic's home games and some 'away' and his view is that Wanyama is a very promising player but not the finished article and not worth £12m. However after reminding me that the SPL is Championship standard at best and that players can look good at that level and then implode in the English leagues, he thinks that if Wanyama is given the SFC 'Ricky Lambert' training regime Wanyama could become a very good Prem player. My colleague also said but that it was only a rumour and was not related to Celtic, SFC tried to get Wanyama to appoint another agent to replace the jokers in South Africa. I think this is probably where we are with Wanyama. We could still get him if the no other club outbids us and the agents negotiate. Bit of a long shot perhaps and this leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I think we only want players who want to join us Wanyama may just be a chancer but of course everybody is entitled to get the best deal for himself but £1m to agents where SFC have actually 'done' the deal.

£1.5m for 4 minutes

May have a bit of truth in it or just agents talk. I would not be surprised if all three are waiting to see what the best offer for them is before deciding. If they are not committed to us then they can go elsewhere. In terms of Celtic - they are a massive club playing in the equivalent of our Div 2

I would believe anything that useless w***er says - his only source is yesterdays papers like the Echo

Anyone received their season tickets by post yet

It is if you block all of the repetitive knobs on here. Eventually you will get there

Rod who? Deserves credit for his project but has had to be bailed out by everybody. I hate cricket anyway.

Good away day with the Waetherspoons even if the ground is awful with subterranean dark places that pass as toilets. Another opportunity to show our warmth and affection to loudmouth Holloway and wish him well in the Premier League.

AOC went for money and security for life. You can take a view about the development of his football career as it appears to me Wenger does not know how to use him. There have been some occasional good performances in some games but mostly his backside just has the imprint of the seat. in terms of whether he deserves (amongst others) England selection, this is in serious doubt but I have given up with Hodgson.

Luke Shaw injured again and out of England U21 Euro 2013 squad.

I agree and I was not suggesting we either sell him or bench him only that you cannot play 38 Pl games at 17/18 (the near equivalent once he came into the side - 25 games?).
