  1. He knows as much as we do
  2. There's no way Jack Cork would have cushions like that
  3. Guly didn't have a bad game. He had a good first half and faded a bit 2nd half. He links uP the play well and tracks back despite what people say. Some bloke behind me was shouting "muppet" at him every time he didn't play the Perfect pass. It beggars belief. Guly is easily good enough for the prem and I can't wait for him to shove all these negative comments down everyone's throats. Clyne had got something extra though, could be the bargain of the season
  4. Haha that'll be me then! Me and my nipper are in Block 13
  5. Nathanial Clyne... hes all mine, all mine. Nathanial Clyne... hes all mine (to the tune of fog on the Tyne)
  6. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2012/07/31/100252-31512018 Or maybe not
  7. Zonal marking makes sense, stops wasted energy stayng in one "zone". But what happens if two attackers enter your zone??
  8. "My friend" eh?
  9. Saw him saturday, thought they had given a prize of meeting the players to some dwarf. He's that small, borderline dwarf no doubt about it
  10. Totally agree. Lots of chairmen made bold predictions and no one takes any notice. When Cortese says it, you wouldn't bet against him. I think it's his aura
  11. I would never be seen dead in a football shirt tbh (unless I was playing football), not even at a saints match. But my son won't wear anything else. He loves it, so that's good enough for me. Its unique and it has an 80s feel. The 80s is cool again atm
  12. The geezer on the end of the phone said he thought it was because they were snowed under and it may change next week. Gay
  13. Yeah agree that 01271 number is best. However, they are not sending seasons tickets out (as things stand). So seeing as I live 100 miles away, I will add this to my list of moans over the past 24 hours. On the plus side, my sons new home kit has arrived after only ordering on Saturday afternoon.
  14. And it doesnt even recognise my customer number now :\
  15. Nice one. I spoke to them and they said all the systems are down. They should be back up within 30 minutes
  16. They should choose a provider that is big enough to handle the demand. Were Southampton not Barcelona
  17. Adkins on saints player... confirmed that Lambert has been training as normal today and the only players unavailable will be Chung and Connolly. Chung will be out for rest of season
  18. He didn't celebrate. But then Bent scored the equaliser and he went mental!!
  19. We need to win some trophies/ be sustained in the prem to be even close to perfect. The other thing that stands out for me, as an area for development, is the "pathway" for younger players to break through to the first team. Nige has spoken about its importance (for their development, attracting the best young players to our club and to improve our sustainability) but I don't see any real evidence of a significant pathway. I'm not sure cup games are enough (as that might only mean 2 games a year). Maybe there should be one space on the bench earmarked for a "development" player?
  20. Shocking defending
  21. Beat me to it
  22. I agree. One of the three of us is going to be devastated come the end of April, I'm just praying it's not us.
  23. The ref was holding his face when he walked off, that's why I thought it may have been a coin. Maybe he did his hamstring and then got hit by a coin from the savages
  24. Just wanted to give credit to the ref yesterday. Hostile atmosphere, he was a sub referee after the first choice got injured (by a coin I think) Gave 2 penalties to the away side and got them both spot on. Even Kenny Jackett expressed his surprise that an away team was given 2 (what that's got to do with it I don't know)
  25. Just back from the knuckle draggers stadium- what an ordeal that was. Having said that a cracking atmosphere throughout. Started well, just about deserved the lead- great work by schneiderlin in the build up. Then somehow we were behind, poor defending for the 2nd- unlike Saints recently. Others feel it was a smash and grab, disgree with that. Felt we shaded it over the 90 minutes, particularly dominant in the last quarter. Felt both were penalties, the second one even more so IMO. Davis. Few decent saves, but not massive amounts to do. 7 Frazer. His form is still not what it was. Too many hospital passes and not getting forward with as much confidence. 6 Jos. Dominant, altho got turned inside out for the first goal. 7 Fonte. Compliments Jos so well. Was influential going forward too. 7 Fox. Decent game, decent deliveries. 7 Guly. Only Lamberts hatrick prevented him getting MOM for me. Put himself about, held ball up well, excellent link up play. 8 Hammond. Not as dynamic as Cork or Morgan, but tidy enough in the main. Only gave the ball away once that I remember. 7. Morgan. Maintaining his high standards of the past few months. Good assist for the first. 8 Lallana. A threat, but not his dominant best. 7 Chaplow. Off the pace. Rightly subbed at half time. 6 Lambert. Strange, not his best game. Some good link up play, but nothing seemed to stick all day. But you can't argue with a hatrick. 8.5 MOM Subs: De Ridder. Definate impact, stretching their defence as they were trying to keep in compact. Was wondering if he could have played the Chung "role" in his adsence, he has the pace. 7 Sharp. Fell over a fair bit, but helped win the 2nd pen. 7 Cork. Not on long enough, kept it tight.
