We really need that commanding, calming influence (someone like VVD when he could be bothered to play for us). We've restricted them to 2 shots on target but it feels like they're going to score every time they come near our penalty area Great to hear the fans in good voice - they're trying to do their bit
-
I don't think protests work/I'm not interested in them.

Hear hear, although most of the people who need to know that won't be bothering to read this thread -
I'll go for new player's attitude - too many comfortable on their long deals not really trying...oh and throw in a goal scorer please
-
Its frustrating, given our current situation, but I don't think the lack of signings really means lack of activity. I imagine there are a lot of "what if" conversations as agents try to get the most money for themselves and their players
-
agreed, that goal was totally the manager's fault
-
I'm not sure that sort of language is allowed on here
-
nothing wrong with our squad then

Liverpool agree world-record £75m deal for Virgil van Dijk

"I can’t wait to pull on the famous red shirt for the first time in front of the Kop and will give everything I have" ....well until my agent can do a deal with Barcelona for £150m -
So is this better or worse than losing 4-1 at home to Leicester?
-
Fine lines - if the Chelsea free kick had gone wide, if Austin scored - a very different forum ...except the moaning about Redmond of course
-
Funny old game isn't it?- Puel lauded as a genius midweek then they lose 3-0 at home to Crystal Palace
-
its a good sign - were getting closer
-
I'm not sure you're on the official Saints Web bandwagon there
-
or Stephens at right back?
-
No, no, you misunderstood that comment I think. The poster was merely stating that Long isn't the player he used to be. It s just one viewpoint of course
-
Memories of them in League 1, parking the bus and time wasting from the 5th minute
-
with 20 mins to go we are now 13-1 to win this - generous
-
Saints have failed to score in eight of their last nine home Premier League matches - sorry, I'm sure we know that - scary though isn't it?
-
Right, its like were in a training match - no confidence
-
Almost - more likely VVD equalises in the 90 th minute only for Crouchy to grab the winner - haha, your version had us coming away with a point!
-
Haha, Stoke injury crisis - we all know how that normally turns out for Saints!
-
I didn't see it, or hear commentary, so I don't know, but was it rusty or lack of motivation - did he look like he wanted to be there?
-
We look like were down to 9 players, playing away home
-
Lucky we had a kind run of fixtures to get off the mark
-
And anyway.....why do you need an agent when you've just signed a 6 year deal? Realistically though, its man up and join the real challenge that is playing for SFC, or sit on you hands and let Jurgen keep the pressure on via the old boys network until being refused again in January. Depends where his sits on the footballing career v cash continuum
