All players have good games and bad games, even within a general trend of "form" For many on here Marek was a world beater when he came back, and he's certainly scored some important goals for us. But he had a really bad game on Tuesday. Its life; we're human. For poor old Kelvin though there's no hiding place, one mistake and were a goal down. Someone else could make a howler, give the ball away, miss a sitter, but it never sticks in the mind quite the same as the goalies mistake!

I can remember that for some parts of some games at the very beginning of the season the football was sublime - and there were many posts on here saying that it was the best seen by Saints for years etc. It was like Arsenal at their best - quick passing football with lots of movement. I also saw this in the pre-season games where, against relatively weak opposition, we banged in a hatful of goals. I remember thinking that it was, like all football and all sport, based on confidence and I dreaded "the boysh" getting knocked about by a few teams of hoofers and being completely knocked out of their stride. It didnt happen immediately, but their confidence seems to have been gradually drained away - and sadly some of our home "support" seems to be part of that. On the whole I think we have been pretty good, but it only takes a few idiots and they always seem to be the loudest. But we pay our ticket money, we have a right to abuse the team dont we?!

Now also on the OS - "Wotte will be without Lee Molyneux who is suspended following his two yellow cards against Swansea, but other than that Saints are in good shape"
-
Rather than wasting time on here Alain shouldn't you have your head down in the library?
-
They didn't elaborate - but it won't stop us jumping to conclusions
-
On Radio Solent they have played a clip of MW saying that the team will be same as v Swansea. Rudi will not be considered.

An outbreak of common sense and reasoned comment on the forum - whats going on?
-
I think thats exactly it - this could be added to most threads, but it doesnt stop us making up the facts to fit our arguments though!

I'm just grateful to see a goal celebration these days
-
Wise words I think, thats about spot on
-
Pah, I bet half of them haven't even heard of SFC

Subtle. I thought it was a serious post till I got to that bit - good one!

You imply there's a choice
-
Yeh, right

Very frustrating. Never fit enough for a solid 90 mins, fell over as if he was Italian, yet capable of some really good stuff if he could be bothered. A waste of talent of near Fabrician magnitude - he will probably look back at his career in 5 years time and think what he might have achieved if he could be arsed (or arguably if someone had pushed/cajoled him into giving 100%)

Life in general is not so black and white - do you think the newspapers, and media in general, are always giving an objective and impartial view of the world? (rhetorical)
-
interesting insight - do you have this player's name?
-
God I hope not - I wouldn't want them to think that the trash we write on this forum is representative of what most Saints fans think
-
Needs to keep up the ratio from the last 45 mins
-
I hope not
-
good point - won't get through the deflector shields of many though
-
Lets all throw our hands in the air and give up
-
Shame we cant get the money now - Swansea will have worked out what he's really like by the Summer

The Official Saints Web "He Could Do A Good Job For Us" Thread

Newcastle are also interested in Rennes right-back Rod Fanni, as are Aston Villa and a number of other Premier League clubs. (Telegraph) Would make a great signing at right back - if only for the craic -
Let's take every match as it comes
