Its a bit steep to say the least, you could buy our club instead for that sort of money
-
Well they are all MUST WIN games now arent they? .. its just that the font size for "must win" will gradually increase, if we don't win, until we are mathematically down
-
Lucky you
-
Its time we gave up on this ridiculous experiment with experience, can't everyone see that it was doomed from the start, bring back the kids before its too late!!
-
Just wait 'til Friday...
-
tbf what would we rather him say? Rallying the team just before they take to the pitch with a cry of "come on boysh we are one of the most average teams in the CCC" isn't exactly in the Henry V St Crispen's Day league

everyone has accepted we are in league one next season

We will fight them on the beaches.. -
I think Wotte appreciates some of Wotton's fighting qualities - prepared to put his foot in, keeping going when it gets tough, shouting encouragement to the others. He might not be the most elegant of footballers but Wotte seems to see a role for him - or it might be that our coach thinks that Wotton is the English form of the name Wotte

Well yes, you're right - it doesnt mean to say that sticking with a manager as a policy is right in itself - the trick is the stay with the right one. The Scolari example was amazing - I think he lost about 4 games in 7 months - OUT. With their newly announced £66Mill loss for the year (not including Scolari's pay off) perhaps they will have to go more for a youth/academy approach with an up and coming but inexperienced manager?

That sort of support for a manager seems to be a thing of the past - I guess Moyes/Everton and Coppell/Reading are are more recent examples though, even Sir Alex had a couple of mediocre 11th position finishes in his early years at Utd.

I prefer to think of it as verbal irony - the use of words to convey something other than, and especially the opposite of, the literal meaning of the words, to emphasize, aggrandize, or make light of a circumstance or subject. Having said that - I look forward to seeing Rudi back if he wants to play. The team's stronger with an enthusiastic Rudi in it and I'll be willing him on after 80 mins if he lasts that long.

Steady now Alpine...you are jumping to conclusions I occasionally just like to question some of the points raised on here as opinions and assumed to be facts - I dont' think we get too many of those on here because most of us just dont know
-
If it was in a newspaper, then I think we should all believe it - FACT
-
Lies, damn lies and statistics! If you look at the period mid Aug 08 to end of Sep 08 Jan's record was W5 D2 L4 ...better by comparison to the ratios of George and Nige. Having said that, Id have been very happy to see NP kept on for this season. The fact is - he wasnt, I didnt choose the right lottery numbers last week, we didnt beat Derby in the play offs...... its history, lets move on.

No-one else wants me boss, s'pose I'll have to play after all, do I have to do a whole 90 mins though - its really hard work

Things the commentators have NOT said about Saints this season

Into the last 5 minutes then and you can't see Southampton conceding a goal now -
Slightly crude in the delivery perhaps WA but the underlying facts are spot on!
-
You wouldn't catch Alex Ferguson messing about with such nonsense - tush
-
I bet your blood group is b-negative
-
You couldn't make it up!! ...no, wait a minute...
-
I want to believe it, so I will, without question
-
Seems a fair point
-
I expect will have many "biggest games in our history" between now and the end of the season
