Its Saints - its a given
-
tbf any signing initially was going to address a problem area - but the general sentiment of the post is positive, lets try to be patient.
-
It could be good news - might mean that the experienced CB signing is already in the bag (or maybe thats just wishful thinking)
-
Excellent - is your uncle a CB?
-
Still need 2 v good CBs Having said that the 2 full backs were excellent - Harding MoM for us. I like the way AP is building from the back and I'm looking forward to see who will come in next ( 1 x striker, 1 x CM 1, and 1 x winger please to start with as well as the CBs)

I have heard it's not the end
-
no, you're not the only one

"Pardew withdrew his side's most influential player, Mills, shortly after the hour" .... was how the Evening News in Edenburgh saw it.. http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/Southampton-3--0-Hearts.5493761.jp

Most impressed today, I thought he was possibly our best player - looks like our new Drew Surman
-
He looked a class above today. Gave the whole team a lift I thought. Maybe he was just trying to impress any watching purchasers.
-
OK I'll say it......Skacel
-
Part of negotiating is to set you "opponent's" expectations. Going round saying you've got billions to spend might not be the best idea. Alternatively, he might not have much money after all!
-
I think I saw a quote at the weekend saying AP was targeting 5 games to overhaul the -10 points.....now it's Christmas. He can't have liked what he's seen.
-
brilliant
-
Its win - win If we win (vey unlikely I know) it means that we are perhaps a bit better than we all thought (or that Ajax were being kind to us) If we lose it will re-enforce the need to strengthen the team I think Ajax will clean up
-
Looking at the article Pardew doesn't mention any players does he?
-
...spot on =D>

would just be the cherry on the pigeon

I've been to all three friendlies - except Totton and Bournemouth. I thought only Doble, Thomas, and possibly Patterson looked OK. I'm not reading too much into it though, its pre-season and this time last year we looked like Brazil against the likes of Winchester and Farnborough. I dont suppose Rasiak sees much point in raising a sweat, but his work ethic doesnt provide a good example to the youngsters. There's still the basis of a good team that hasn't actually been put together for a whole match yet. I hope we get round to doing that soon and start to have a few games with the "1st" team rather than keep playing all the squad and then assemble our best team only in time for the Millwall game.

Its been done - but I'm with you, its a results business and we havent won a single game under his ownership

Liebherr out! ...not really just force of habit
-
thats OK then I thought for a moment we might have been taken over by the Swiss (or German) guy.....btw any news on Rudi signing?
-
has something been announced then?
-
Maybe it has already been announced......but it was one of the other takeover threads?
