SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
del boy replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
...remind me of this board.... a few years ago when people were saying similar things about an up and coming Spiderman. I think at the start of the season most of us would have taken one defeat in 7 games and 7 points clear of the relegation spot with 3 to go? -
SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction

I agree with this. Yesterday was very disappointing, just like the good old "normal" days of being a Saints supporter. But - lets be honest, a six game unbeaten run including wins over Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool is probably overachieving for our current squad. A bit of quality improvement over the Summer and we should keep our upward trajectory. Some of the comments being levelled at Gaston remind me of this board -
Red and White Stripes Black Shorts next year

Are you implying that the cash generation units have some say in how their resources are utilised? - I dont think the project is managed like that -

BREAKING NEWSSunderland confirm striker Steven Fletcher and midfielder Lee Cattermolewill miss the rest of the season due to injury. Cattermole underwent an operation on his knee earlier today and Fletcher sustained ankle ligament damage while on international duty with Scotland. Good, maybe he saw those on MoTD and realise that he owes us! ...maybe not

The Mirror "article" appears to be based on the assertion that Chelsea scouts were at the England U21 game (scoop - who'd have seen that one coming?) Based on them being there, it is therefore an obvious conclusion that Chelsea have a £8 swoop lined up for Nat Clyne in the Summer You couldn't make it up.....oh, wait a minute...

After 8 games, what are your thoughts...
del boy replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
This , generally. We will never know what NA would have done but we are where we are, onwards and upwards. Nigel's record and contribution should always earn him the highest respect and gratitude from Saints fans. He's a good man and didn't deserve to be treated how he was. Sad in some ways that the club he left behind is now a project. -
Great result, very happy with the result, great performance Would have been even happier if my 3-0 bet for a £5 had given me £445

agreed, that surely has to be the most disturbing aspect of his decision making to date
-
exactly... I hope he takes us to the cleaners

MPs "pushing up" tactics - are they easy to counter ?
del boy replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Apparently, MP told the team that Newcastle only had one shot on target in the second half - and scored twice! -
Saints risk losing Puncheon - West Ham and Newcastle United circle
del boy replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
a bit harsh -
I still find it a bit cringe making when they use the word "project" .... A bit like calling your loved ones "human resources" ....happy valentines day
-
Good point, maybe if we keep on with these "lucky" performances people will start to think there might be a connection - strange the opposition always have their off day when they're playing Saints, why could that be? We're starting to get some recognition though - SAF and the MOTD boys seem to think its not just the opposition's off days
-
Exactly, celebrate a great night at St Mary's....together as one!

Only 21 points off the champions league place

From the Star (but it could still be true) Former Saints star Claus Lundekvam appears to have played a key role in Forren's switch of destination. "I got a call from Southampton about a month before Christmas and I highly recommended him [Forren]," he told TV2. "Southampton have been looking for a top-class defender for a long time, and Forren is a type that fits in with the way they play."
