  1. Not in the eyes of the ref or lino at the time. Had this been at a ground without VAR it would have counted. Maybe var should not be used in FA Cup to keep a level playing pitch for all clubs involved.
  2. Fa Cup 3rd round used to be one of the most eagerly awaited days of the season ... a possibility of a trip to Wembley beckoning. Watched Football Focus at lunchtime ... they spent the 1st 20 mins whacking themselves off over Liverpool FCand The EPL title. WALOB Hope there are some big shocks, but obviously not at SMS ... although a few weeks ago an SFC win may well have been deemed a shock Tomorrow I'll most certainly be a bluenose ad hoping for a toffees win. Hope Che bags some goals today for us and we keep another clean sheet with whoever plays.
  3. As per usual .... worth the wait!! Great read. Thanks.
  4. Huddersfield lost 5-2 at home to a pretty mediocre Stoke City on Wed. Cake walk or banana skin if we don't focus?
  5. A bit bizarre that in he end we got a point primarily because of VAR ... I'd still be fuming now if that had been us that had scored that goal, and a assist of the week pass to Ings from their defender!! They need to change offide line to where the attackers feet are not his earlobe ofr little finger. They need to lean forward to see play and judge the offside line across the line of defenders. The fightback was pretty exciting stuff with the saves from Djnepo, Ings flick ang Jwp free kick. Such a pity those 2 deep crosses fell to Cedric instead of a proven header of the ball!! Much happier with game plan and effort that earlier in the season. Just 6 wins away from 40 points!! WHU, Bomo and Villa must be getting worried especially with Norwich and Watford pickng up points.
  6. Kat's English obviously still needs a bit more refinement .... Palph has been asking for Signings and she gave him some Singing .... easy mistake!!
  7. Ha Ha ..... in our dreams. Scottish Football is not awash with momey. Even Celtic have only paid 2 fees above 6 million ever, 9m for Edouard and 7m this summer for Jullien. Nothing else above 6 million ......... we'd be lucky to get 8 million for a Forster and Elyounoussi package deal.
  8. Wow ..... a double endorsement .... Board vote of confidence and the fat lady singing. Ralph is toast
  9. Any dodgy streams pretty please. Asking for a friend!
  10. Although not a massive amount of us, but still pretty damned good all things considered, the away support was superb. Few tourists, mostly good fans who gave their all in vocal support through out the game. Quality over quantity, pity we didn't get the result we and the team deserved.
  11. Unfortunately, as with us, most of their better performances come away from home. Hoping rather than expecting a win, but would not be surprised in the least to see the old go 1 up, sit back, let in a messsy equaliser and thencolapse completely to a 3-1 defeat in the final 5 mins.
  12. OOOPs don't know what happened there!! Should I do it once more im memory of the 4th goal?
  13. Actually that one didn't hurt so much, as it was on the cards from the moment they scored their 1st goal. Our players had completely switched off at HT, but the home crowd were still giving magnificent support, and we just crumbled under the pressure and couldn't find the "On" button again. Tranmere deserved the win as far as I was concerned. It was a bit easier for me as I only had a 40 min drive home on a cold Jan night, but for those who came up from God's country it must have been a horrible trip back. Outside afterwards their fans were ecstatic at the thought of playing Liverpool next round, and forgetting where I was for a moment I said to a few of them .."I hope you beat the scouse barstewards next round" They were too happy to give a damn or do they not count themselves as scousers?

  16. Same happened with Wolves, but the extra tickets only went on sale a few days before the game and wasn't announced.
  17. Good (or bad) call. The way Puell managed us in The Euro games alone was worthy of him being sacked. Playing for a 0-0 draw at home against a team who'd struggle in The Championship was a travesty. Don't get me started on Milan away .... that one hurt as well, but the whole occasion glossed over the defeat as we still had plenty of time to regain ground and qualify.
  18. Going quite a way back, the Anderlecht goal at The Dell, in the pouring rain when unfortunately Jim Steele slipped up. I hadn't been able to go to any of the away matches and was really looking forward to a Euro trip. Made even worse by the fact that we'd had a perfectly good goal disallowed in the away leg. Missed out on Cup semi's in the 80's but Zlats goal at the end devastated me, but at least we could hold our heads high and be proud in defeat.
  19. Damn I'd completely forgotten that the pony tailed whingeing horrible git was back at Newcastle. Likes to give it out but goes down like a bag of turd and crying to the ref the moment anybody goes near him. Always scores against us, but can he manage 2 games in 4 days? Cameo role of the bench as Newcastle go for a fightback? Our midfield will need to track Shelvey who will be looking forward to adding to his collection of goals against us. If only we could roll out Matt Le Tiss in response Not much in the way of goal action at SJP this season just 13 goals in 7 games, and 4 of those in the last game v City. Only scored 7 which is 2nd lowest but only let in 6 which is also 2nd lowest. I think all of that may change on Sunday!! 4-4 anybody? But probaly 3-1 either way.
  20. Adams needs to up his game when he is not in possession. We all know about Longs tenacity in chasing everything down, and when he went off (as well as Ings) having run themselves into the ground, we lost our front line of defence, and made it easier for them to start attacking build ups rather than panic long balls out of defence. Adams was always looking for an attacking option, but we needed him and fresh legs to chase and put them under pressure, which he didn't seem to be up to. He will score more goals than Long.
  21. Norwich and Watford were both pretty woeful for most of our last 2 games, but, and its a huge BUT, both could, well fair to say, should have scored equalisers in injury time .... take 4 points away and give 1 each to the bottom 2, things could have been so very very different. Fine Lines indeed. Mind you if VAR hadn't taken so long to award the peno at Arsenal, and add 3 mins more injury time, we would be in 12th place above Bomo!! Yes very fine lines indeed!!
  22. ??? Eastleigh are playing Crewe in the replay .... wouldn't mind that, but the problem with smaller teams is smaller ticket allocation and unlikely toget past STH with 5 away games!!
  23. I wonder who is going to pick up an injury in training today or pre match tomorrow?
  24. The VIP Coach Package hasn't sold out!! A mere 220 quid or something like that .... a snip!! It is annoying that some tickets have been held back for this ill fated venture when genuine fans can't get a ticket.
  25. I hadn't realised Watford was on TV until I saw it on a pub's listings this afternoon. Shudders at the thought of the inevitable home loss on TV looming Arsenal away ... not a sodding chance! Their tippy tappy game will tie us up in knots and we'll give away an early pen, then it's downhill. Never mind I've got Newcastle and Villa away to look forward to
