no-one knows... unless you've seen them along side each other.. playing against the same opponents.. it's conjecture... as someone says we'll have some evidence to give us an opinion in 12 months time... but even then it will be opinion... as they'll be playing alongside and against different teams/individuals..

Last season when we were doing well, we looked a bit one dimensional at times... Redmond offers some real pace, as an alternative and a willingness to go past defenders.. at times he looks like he runs too fast to remember to control the ball/deliver at the end... but pretty sure that RK can help with that... hard to coach speed... and if McCormack is worth £11m... he's worth a punt for that kind of money...

Although unlikely.. (as I think he'll go).. Lovren could still be rehabilitated......i.e. all the comments came out in Croat paper... he's still got the option to come out and deny the comments... and say he was mis-quoted/mis-interpreted... so lots of grovelling/apologies and excuses... he'd be welcomed back... ...but back in teh real world.... Tadic will be scoring against him in the first game of the season.. ... actually he'll probably bring down Tadic ...get sent off.. and Tadic will score the penalty...

not sure club has lacked grace... but has lacked class... with the statement and how they've dealt with certain things...that's not excusing the way players have been behaving.....we just look out of control.... it's not hard to say...we're disappointed that Adam has chosen to leave, but the club has worked hard to get the best deal in the interest of the club..blah, blah....

....just a thought, but the Feyenord fans credit Koeman for dealing with Pelle's slightly more 'wild' side and getting the best out of him... maybe he could do the same with Dani.... but personally if someone offered us money for him, I'd take it...

the negotiations for Koeman went on for a while... he can read the press....has anyone thought that one of the attractions might have been that he would have a chunk to spend on making it his own team.....

just had lunch with a guy who has two sons in the academy at Feyenord (as you can imagine is also a big Feyenord fan)... couldn't speak highly enough of Koeman and the work he's done with the kids and behind the scenes... also spoke very positively about Pelle.... also said that although he's a bit fiery.. Koeman handled him really well behind the scenes....

good to see Shaw congratulating Sam on twitter as well......

ok.. so for a first interview... very good.. he comes across as warm and family orientated.. whilst we know from his playing days.. he know how to be a cynical/hard nosed... cautiously optmistic

Whilst I might still hold a bot of a grudge... if they bring that kind of hard-nosed attitude to winning to Southampton... I'm all for it...

what I'd be reminding Liverpool about was... that Fellaini cost £27m from Everton.. because Everton didn't want to sell, but pretty much had to to a wealthy Champions League club... on that basis AL is worth £35m at least

so if the board met on Wednesday and if they discussed bids for Ads/Shaw and an approach for MoPo.. which stance could they take which would conclude in 2 days and allow them to come up with an announcement... Good chance that players are in 2 minds dependant on MoPo staying and whether there will be investment in the club... MoPo probably something similar... so inevitably... even if teh club are making a serious effort to get them to stay.. that there is some negotiation going on... as per other posts... the 'no players are leaving statements' just make them look like liars.. when they get a good bid.. and the player wants to leave...

P.S. Can someone mock-up Veho on a Rank Xerox/Draper Tools shirt..... reckon it will look good...

This for me... Looking at the sponsorship table... if you are in the top 6.. and can sell a lot of shirts in Asia etc, seems you can get some serious companies... the next 8-10 have basically sold their souls (for not that much money) to the low life's... i.e. betting companies or a loan shark...and then there are a few who have gone with local companies (whether big or small)... I'd personally prefer to go with a local decent company..with a name that will look OK on a shirt...than squeeze another couple of million for a shirt, I'd be embarassed for my kids to have on their shirt....
