Wayne Rooney would make a TOP, TOP coach/Assistant manager but not the main man. He cannot do it. He just hasn't got it in him. Same as John Carver, Mike Phelan, Steve Mclaren..all good assitant/training ground coaches..awful, awful managers. Rooney had one good stint at Derby county when (like Lampard) had Mel Morries breaking every FFP rule going and signing Premier League players in the championship. Only fairly recent former player who seems to be a decent manager is Carrick. Imo. There's probably more but he's comes from the same'ish "group" as Rooney.

Nail. Head. Moyes isn't the sort of manager teams who are doing well or as he put it in that comment "A team that is going good" hire. You hire him when you are in the shit and panicking. The sort of job he wants, he'd be right at the bottom of the list of managers they'd be looking at, he probably wouldn't even be on the fucking list.

I went to these things during peak Les Reed and the Pellegrino clusterfuck. SportsRepublic in my eyes are far, far worse. Any fan forum is just going to be soundbites that they know the fans want to hear. The last Fans Forum I went to was Danny Ings and Blackmore present and we the mic runner was told not to let go of the microphone because obviously they didn't want difficult questions asked. It was a grim time and yet nobody said fuck all and I didn't get to ask a question. One guy heckled and that was about as audible dissent it got. It's pointless because SportsRepublic are never going to sit their and say "We haven't got a fucking clue what we are doing".

That statement the club put out was obviously prepared well in advance of that game and that was probably Martins "win or sacked" game. His demeanor throughout the entire match suggested that. The way that first half went, Dragan was more than likely swearing down the phoneline which suggested the speed at which he was sacked. It was on SkySports App within about 45 minutes of the final whistle, so the sacking probably happened within minutes.

We look a different team, to the point it's making Martin look like Gross negiligent, Gross misconduct. The fact we haven't been using Tall Paul up to this game is absolutely fucking criminal. His work rate has ben off the charts.

So basically, he'd have to remind the players of fuckups when they rolled in 2 days later by which point they've completely fucking forgotton, and repeat the exact same errors the very next game. Genius that. So a game on sunday, meant the players would return on Wednesday...then 2 days later a game on Saturday? I must have that completely wrong because that is batshit to me. He looks like a proper manager. Everything that Jones/Martin isn't. Concern is, he's giving all the soundbites that Pellegrino gave and look what we ended up with almost the exact opposite of the words coming out of his mouth. That said, he CANNOT do any worse than Martin on 5 points from 16 games ffs. Those players need proper coaching and fitness levels need drastic improvement. Juric looks to me like someone who will be their manager and not their mate, which was Martin's biggest downfall. At this level, you can't act like their your mates in for a kickabout. Our squad is piss-fucking-poor theires no doubt about that, but it's better than 5pts/16 that's for sure. I would've liked Moyes, but after the job he did at West Ham his stock is high and to come here in the situation we're in, he would have wanted MEGA money. Welcome Ivan.
