  1. Plus Yeovil, goal and hit th epost.
  2. He was still key to two goals last night, popping up on both wings and coming off the defenders. Hit a superb cross field pass to AL. Was not passed to by our MOM when in acres of space. But, most telling for me was last season he would have barged AL out of the way to bury that header in the first half, I think its purely a yard of pace/fitness and he needs games thats all. We need him more! (Cant believe the stick hes getting now JP got dropped, leave off moaning minnies)
  3. Totally agree with both points, please wake up SFC and look after your fans (customers) - walk up fans had to go round to the Chapel and pay cash to get in last night. Looks like we are playing in an empty stadium on the TV highlights!
  4. Of the squad that played that 2 legged final only one player remains at the club, we know 7 others have gone on to clubs above us now, but such a shame that more did not stay. Ironically of the Ipswich squad, I could not find any of those listed on the programme in their current squad!
  5. Dan is the man sorry; Seaborne was at fault for Oldham goal and KD was blatantly fouled for Notts goal. AOC should be kept for last 25 minutes, so in conclusion if it aint broke dont fix it and dont change a winning team!
  6. Watch how many runs into the box he makes that dont get spotted, a bit like Guly in his first game, thats the difference with better players, that unfortunately Deano and Spiderman for some reason dont do enough of yet.
  7. We have not been in the Top 6 since we came down...............Another psychological barrier to smash!! COYS!!!!!!!
  8. EIEIEIO UP THE FOOTBALL League we go!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. looks like its gonna be Paul Ince - oh well, shades of MKD last season??
  10. There is an Underground car park below the main hall if you can get a pass....
  11. Some of you lot are blind and blinkered!! Lambo half fit is still the first name on the team sheet IMO. he laid off the ball for Puncheon, their full back bounced off him, others cant get near to tackle him; he holds the ball up, his mere prescence scares the opposition and when hes gone off, its an obvious void. Give the guy a break, he cannot be superhuman all the time - even Le God had an occasional bad game!
  12. crazy! - 10 times as many for the same trip to Sheff Weds! Very localised following though.
  13. Done 73 so far, not all with saints, including 9 relocations, but I make it 22 left to go, so 95 in total which must be the net amount of teams coming in and out of the League since I started in 1974 at Orient. Division 2 1975 - 1978 helped alot and being based up north for 4 years! Much harder then as less M-Ways, no mobile phones or internet, trains slower etc etc. Have we really never played Wigan? Would make a good day out when we are both in the Championship next season!
  14. The Luton Town case sets a precedent, they got deducted 30 points for the actions of a previous Director no longer involved with theClub? Correct?
  15. Really feel sick about the outcome, I just hope they get one point clear for promotion then get docked enough points to relegate them by one instead! That would be sweet poetic justice! The Storrie case will be the key event now.
  16. Imagine the fun as well if the mob down the road are (hopefully) no more!!! Cue lots of new songs........

  18. Come on Sasha - pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Come on Sasha - pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. How long we were kept in that street after the 4-1 defeat? For our own safety, ha ha? Amounted to detention!! But Saturday was stupid, a flimsy barrier and Bumfluff 'fans' allowed to get near and goad, just lacked a bit of common imho.
  21. How can you make an atmosphere in an open end and ****ing rain and wind??!! Their team and fans reaction said it all to me, cheered like they had won! ALL THESE TEAMS FIGHT LIKE HELL AGAINST US. Another day we would have won 4-0, just no bloody luck at all at the moment, not one slip, drop, deflection, mistake, zilch, even on a skating rink of a pitch. Just wish Morgan (who was great) would shoot! And Davis should stand still for penalties, yet again hit down the middle, see the OS pic! I parked in the home car park as the away was full up, got out easy, back in Soton 11.15
  22. Yeovil here we come! bring on Tuesday! Then them lot from down the A31!
  23. I know this may sound corny, but we met at Old Trafford on the terraces, in 1981, the game when Danny wallace made his debut, Nick Holmes scored and I told this girl to stop making so much noise! (Bring on the cheap double entendre replies!)
  24. The fun has gone out of this thread in the last week due to our manager being sacked and losing two games at home to teams we should be stuffing - just shows how quickly fate can turn, we are not really on the moral high ground and quickly getting to th epoint where we replace them in the League above - I want that nice feeling back soon, please!!!

    Lambert

To be fair though when he had the ball at his feet in space he set up 4 great chances for JP, Harding and Guly, only one of which was on target!
