After 8 games, what are your thoughts...
fanimal replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I think we should all judge after the next 8 games, not the previous 8, as where we are then is all that matters and will count. Both guys are clearly good footballing and man managers; personally i loved Nigels positivity and do not like having to wait for a diplomatic translation to hear MoPos views, but I am prepared to see beyond the short term (I hope) language issue. -
So a team from a cold fishy place probably set up by some Bank that went bust finds its SOLE mate in the drowning few down the road, what irony. There was a ladies game at Moneyfields last night, who won, anyone know?

We have to accept Ramirez will be at his best on a sunny warm day on the hallowed prize winning turf of St Marys, not the second half of a Norwich bog heap in freezing wet conditions, the boy will come good and be a hero, but maybe not Saturday v the Scouse. Do well to get a 1-1 or 2-2 draw, must have the pacy full backs playing though to achieve that, with Puncheon and Davis as well.

On the news a demo in Pompey about PCC cutting £1M and closing services to parents badly needed. So why dont they borrow £1M AT A GOOD RATE TO PAY FOR THAT RATHER THAN SUPPORT A bankrupt corrupt business FGS??!!
-
Really heavy rain over Norwich now, but will it turn to snow at 3 as forecast by the BBC?
-
Conditional "only".......if only!!!!!!! Classic understatement if ever. Only £9M apart, chicken feed in the high finance world of PFC. Roll on April 10th. WTFILN.
-
meanwhile at QPR debt up to £89M, this stench follows that paragon of virtue RedKrapp around does it not? Why cannot the media see through him FGS??
-
would not surprise me if he has fronted the land purchase for Chinny.
-
Some superb financial analysis above; If Nicola ever wants a team to help him out in business, he knows who to call - Skatebusters! But the whole fragile business plan has more holes than the Mary Rose - not least the price of Nottarf Krap. At this point who would you back? An accountant or a developer both in it for one thing and in the short term; a well meaning but flawed fan or some local politicians? Or a shrewd business man in it for the long haul? As we enter the final furlong I know who i would put my money on.
-
Still boils down to the Court case - note the need to get the business plan in before the judge. Who are Councillors Ferret and Stubbs? Sounds like a private detective agency!! BTW NAK is 5 acres; in 2004 PCC approved a plan for this 5 acres plus adjoining 8.5 acres of Miland's wasteland for an extended stadium of 35,000 capacity PLUS 536 residential units in 8 BLOCKS, PLUS community facilities PLUS 372 Car spaces in a 4 storey block. So goodness knows where those latest figures were dreamt up from!!

Looks like the Dv and the planners between them have been briefed to base any valuations on the worst case scenario, perhaps deliberately so to bring out the issue of security that we have highlighted. Or maybe rushing this through to help out at the impending court case. either way it seems GVJ is bending over backwards to help, the whole thing now smacks of complete desperation. Oh dear.....WTFILN

Deluded bunch on SSN a few minutes ago...at least SS got some facts right though! At a conservative rent of £600K pa, yield of 8%, makes NAK worth £7.5M min. Interesting that finally Lawyers have been mentioned by Portpin, FL, PCC and PKF, wondered at what point it would turn formally nasty, gloves off, real world rather than the continuing Pantomime over the last year. Come on LB put a nail in the coffin.....
-
They swallowed the cash to chase the dream; That funded and then cra*ped on the FA Cup team; We all know why Its all gone awry; Perhaps theyll die...
-
As always the devil is in the detail. An 'option' to acquire NAK is part of the bid - what basis, terms, how much?? Clearly a stooge for BC, which is why the FL have seen through Harris so swiftly. Brilliant Monday morning, bottom of the League and 3 days (maybe) to the Court case. And the £20 quid charge to park the bus was levied by Milands Administrators not REL or PFC. So they still own the land, Robinson again only has an option or conditional contract. Enjoy....

The Saints are Red, and Pompey are Blue; I give thanks to our Halo I am not one of the Few!!
-
All in all, the shenanigans this week will fuel extra energy into the WTFILN chorus from our beloved Northam tomorrow afternoon, which I have no doubt will have the whole of SMS joining in on March 2nd. The PST clearly upped their derisory bid for Nott Arf Krap on the back of my end of season friendly suggestion netting them an extra £300K plus, so I take full credit for that; the sad thing is it looks more and more like they wont be able to fulfill the fixture!! We should really run a sweepstake on the value of NAK, with th enearest estimate winning what though?? Suggestions please...Mine is £5.5M
-
Did anyone catch the Solent version at 720 this morning? I was also told on Monday night by a PFC employee that a new 'bid' was happening.
-
Look guys, let us put all this silly rivalry between us behind and help them out - I have a great idea! FP holds 20,700, so why dont Saints play them in a 'friendly' but we get at least 10,000 seats at £30 I am sure we could muster the red army to go and watch us stuff them out of site (as it might be the last chance we have for a long time) so that would be £300K to the coffers extra over the normal 11K gate? I would even pay £40 for the privelige, what do you say?

21 year old midfielder from Hoffenheim bid accepted according to German media? 10M euros. Wiki says 5'11'' 18 goals in 54 appearances.
-
Its been a tough week so far, weather, engineering and signal delays, now a fire at Upham this morning. But, why oh why do people keep thick coats, hats and gloves on when seated?? Bizarre seeing one sat next to a guy in a T shirt!! Especially those with The North Face brand, as if....!
-
Well from Gemmell/Krakens figures i make that £19M MINIMUM; what will blow it apart is when the Judge in a weeks time (getting exciting now, like the build up to Xmas) adds another £4 -5M or even just says no to PKF. Cant wait....
-
How much to go to Newcastle??
-
Trousers didint you mean to say the CHAIRMAN demanding at least a point??

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/9814620/I-can-create-Neanderthal-baby-I-just-need-willing-woman.html Should be plenty of takers for this on Portsea Island?? Could write off their debt.....
