My god there are some horrific comments above mostly totally unwarranted and how many of you can call yourselves Saints fans is beyond me thank god you are the minority of our fan base
-
The difference in 1974 was that we had been playing well before that result but so had they; a bit of luck and complacency on our part led to our defeat
-
Ralph singing about his train now; one wheel on my wagon (FA Cup) and I’m still rolling along the internet warriors are after me they look mad things look bad but I’m singing a happy song higgedy haggis’s hoggish hi my fans they never say die a few miles down the road there’s a winnable cup tie and we can watch those warriors go galloping by....

Great post from Rivers keep the faith
-
Will only be worth the gamble tonight if we play well and don’t pick up anymore injuries (I assume Djnepo will be out) regardless of the result
-
Any chance of it being called off due to the weather tonight? really liked United’s 4231 line up against them we could replicate that
-
Update- the next six pointer on Sunday v Brighton now!
-
He is still our most talented player we have get him back in next season at all costs
-
We must be realistic and save bodies for Brighton Djnepo instead of Tiko for an hour Redmond instead of Tella conserve Armstrong biggest issue is do we play KWP again? we will spend at least 70 minutes without the ball probably so it’s all about energy
-
Keep Tella fresh for Brighton Redmond up front to terrorise them
-
Have we ever had such a crucial six pointer this early in the season?
-
Time for Chauke in that case then?
-
Should have called it the left hand corner of the goal competition we missed it twice and they put two in the spot we should have hit. Please please Ralph square pegs in square holes for the next few games back to basics get over 38 points then we can all relax
-
Need a proper right back and get Bednarek back in the middle Forster in goal Alex has issues Then two in the middle and two wide and Ings/Adams up front Defend deeper and play steady last night we went crazy at 1-0 down and still had 25 minutes left! A 1-1 draw so much better than 0-3..
-
No one mentioned the irony that two good draws against a good Chelsea side would be better for us if we had won/lost one!
-
Adams and Armstrong to start and give us a chance
-
The sting is in the tail! a good set of questions so perplexing
-
Warming up nicely and they seem to have a full squad available our only hope is they get cocky
-
The list of all the points we have lost from a winning position makes grim reading and does point to the first half intensity not the best for the Premier league
-
That’s Mike Dean summed up for you Trousers
-
I hope we win purely a) to shut the pundits up and B) Wolves are a horrible team now always sitting deep in the first half with little ambition then trying to con the referee and get the upper hand in the second
-
A good fair summary as always... as you said rounded off an awful week the worst part in my view the Villa loss which was totally down to the officials and injuries our bad luck in the League goes back to the Leicester game though with the unpunished rugby tackle on Diallo I think like all of us the guys could do with a weeks rest in the sun - a freezing cold night in the lovely Black Country sounds even better
-
Well if he smacks one in like Tadanari did v Derby then fine
-
Matty Cash handball - I checked the laws, should have been given
fanimal replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
The point is though Cash deliberately moved his arm to block a goal bound effort result red card and penalty so in all likelihood Saints 1-0 up against 10 men and we all know what that can lead to -
Spot on Magnet not too bad considering babies on the bench! Plus dear old Shane for the 93rd winner
