Just feel NJ could have used last night to galvanise and get everyone pulling the same way again which would only help the atmosphere. Could have easily said something like “I appreciate the football hasn’t been what this football club expects until today, but hopefully this performance shows what I expect from my sides, and with the crowd behind us…” What I don’t get is all this “it takes time to change momentum” and “I’m not a miracle worker” yet he was able to turn the Forest performance into last night in only 7 days… surely if we’d have taken the game to Brighton, Forest in the same way, things would be so different. And to claim we dominated Forest is just bonkers. Let’s just hope it converts into a point on Saturday and victory against Villa…

We've been to two different Maldivian Islands (kuredu and taj coral reef were the two resorts) and on both occasions we were out there at the end of July / beginning of August. Did rain (heavy showers - gone in minutes) and was occasionally windy but temperature constantly 30c and spent most of time snorkelling in bath water temperature sea! Probably not the best time for constant sun, but didn't bother us in any way. Unbelievable holidays on both occasions - would definitely go again! Enjoy! Kuredu website has a pretty good forum which constantly discusses the weather too...

May or may not be relevant but Antonio and Kevin Pressman sat in the Itchen today. It only raised suspicion when you see where Pressman currently earns his trade....

Another problem to throw in is the wonderful Ofsted and league tables - if the school is open, student attendance is poor - it flags up with the Local Authority that you have an attendance problem - Genius! Which head wants that on their record?? My school is currently shut due to the roads surrounding the school being too dangerous for the large number of our students who come to school by bus! Unfortunately health and safety play a huge part in this - one child slips on the ice/snow and the school get blamed, so you can understand caution. (Bear in mind an incident a few years ago where a student was doing PE on the astroturf in the rain, did a sliding challenge and tore his ligaments - who gets blamed...). And as mentioned before, if staff can't get in then it does create a real problem for staff to student ratios. We often find that because infant and primary schools shut first (as their kids need much closer supervision) the teachers who are parents are then forced to stay at home to look after their kids, making the problem worse! Still, hey-ho!

This made my day on Monday - half term, wife wanted to go to Gunwharf shopping - queued in traffic for over an hour to park , but coming out of the University of P*rtsmouth building... a red and white shirt, worn with pride! Well done fella!!
