  1. Will Still. Not a bad shout, actually.
  2. A likely team: Giving Bazinga Handball Merchant, Jack 'Where's my man?' Stephens, Jan 'Where do I stand?' Bednarek, Juan 'Ouch, that hurt' Larios Flying 'Chicken Liver/gasteroenteritis' Down(es) Samuel 'Fell over my own feet' Edozie, Will 'I ever be a footballer?' Smallbone, The very small Scotsman, Kamaldeen 'Watch me run and scuff a shot wide' Sulemana, Ross 'Where's the physio room?' Stewart I can see that team breaking yet more records.
  3. Isn't that dangerous? Carrying a coach by bus?
  4. I agree about the no substance. Disagree he has any style though. I don't know who said it* but when I watched bits of it I thought "Those egos will never see land". * The ego has landed. No idea where the quote is from.
  5. Because that's what sensible people think? Although I have never done anything bar dislike him.
  6. I like bridges.
  7. I think you're talking about a thing called a 'conscience'. They're no longer in fashion, soz. I don't know if it's quite the same with RS in his situation. The closest comparator I can think of is Sam McQueen and he gave it five years and didn't get close to coming back whereas RS kind of has. SM was also younger and came across as being quite thoughtful. No idea of RS' situation but I assume at some point he'll have to start to think about things longer-term, probably at the next injury date. And we don't know what these injuries are, either. Larios now appears to be playing regularly a bit and he's been off for a very long time too (but he's also younger). I'd probably have to wait until the middle of next year to see how they've done. Another (genuine) injury might prompt concern about them possessing the requisite conditioning/physical capability which they themselves will have to address.
  8. * Nods head * Isn't this the same problem as managing the overpaid, pampered 'S T A R S !!!' of today? They expect praise, it's normal and it reinforces their idea that they're 'special and above you'. Telling them they're tossers is wrong: they're 'special and above you', who are you mere peasants to do anything other than worship them? The only one who has shown the requisite humility (possibly two) is Fernandes (and Ramsdale) and they're the best two. So to answer Lighthouse's continued point that he makes that kissing someone's arse makes them think that's what they 'deserve' and praising them for being crap will make them better is bullshit. Some of them patently aren't good enough so shouldn't be there just stealing a living because they can - boo them. Some of them possibly don't try hard enough and give their all for the team, so boo them. That's the correct thing to do, if you deem it. Clapping them and reinforcing their self-interest isn't. The question as to the end result is moot: that's bred into them earlier, hence why we used to like Scandanavians because of their pragmatism, etc. The likes of Vestergaard at Leicester seem to indicate that's a thing of the past. Let's go shopping in Portugal instead for players whose names end in 'F': Fonte and Fernandes being examples. Praise used to be earned and not thrown around because it was something of value. Last time I looked, clapping someone (except when done sarcastically) was a positive affirmation and so praise.
  9. The only one to clap would be Fernandes.
  10. Is that his way of saying he's leaving then? As the only way he can help us is to leave/not play.
  11. Birmingham and Wrexham. Who else will beat us next year?
  12. He could play for Sholing. Just do remember to update his font of all knowledge page though.
  13. Russell, is that you?
  14. Too busy watching Jamie White ... .
