  1. It's a good point, Le Tiss showed signs he was going to be a great but he certainly wasn't a guaranteed starter late 80s, got to give it time and use wisely
  2. They will rely on owners shutting down their sites in fear of being liable, awful legislation If they come for him all of us need to stand up and say I'm Stevie G
  3. Big Ben will have a new lease of life under the new boss
  4. It's much much needed...but unfortunately takes time to build up the levels needed , makes a start at least, they're well out of shape compared to other sides.
  5. The question I think most of us want answered is will he do whey whey wheeeeey with the Northam after a win
  6. What's the death metal scene like in southampton?
  7. Do we have any proper fitness / conditioning coaches at the club? Definitely needed to improve as don't look fit enough
  8. I can genuinely see an AI data driven manager in the next few years , that's the way the world is going
  9. I'm not sure the fan base can take another one, we've had the stuffing knocked out of us. I really feel for the youngsters, it's doing real damage to their pride in being Saints fans.
  10. Yeah assuming some of the players will hardly even know who he is there's not much chance to make an impact in one day
  11. Did he talk about trusting any processess or being brave at all?
  12. Had a look back at the legendary team from the 2022/23 season who made the semi finals with a shock win over Man City in the 1/4 finals, three players remain, how many of the others would get into our current team? Not a bad side on paper. Worth noting as well only a crowd of 22,996 turned up. Bazunu Lyanco Caleta-Car Salisu Walker-Peters Lavia (subbed for Elyounoussi) Diallo Djenepo (subbed for Perraud) Ward-Prowse A. Armstrong (subbed for Orsic) Mara (subbed for Che Adams)
  13. If Rusk gets to end of the season and keeps us up then 3 other teams must have had 30 point + deductions , there's no other plausible scenario
  14. Will be worthy of an open top bus if we manage it, perhaps even an end of season pitch invasion to celebrate
  15. Lol this is exciting 😄
  16. Sadly anyone on the database can buy 4 each, we're used to away fans in the home end but this game could take it to another level. I've bought shares in a half and half scarf company off the back of this fixture expecting record sales
  17. Lol who made this video, it's a work of love but I did have a tear roll down my face watching it https://x.com/25buttsfc1/status/1868484279363158512?t=TSSr9SyDIYpOgmdqPU_CQg&s=19
  18. At least our sharp eyed directors then recruited Dave Jones as manager, along with P. JONES and legend L. TODD remembered fondly by fans for worst fitting kit , true beauty this one
  19. We'd still lose but at least might make it competitive. I remember as a nipper absolutely buzzing to reach 1/4 finals of this competition, some great atmospheres at The Dell but inevitably let down against Cup powerhouses of the time Luton and Oldham Didn't we also manage to knock ourselves out in 1/4 final v Stockport mid 90s , classic Saints. Shame how much this competition has been devalued
  20. SR would argue they've tried initiatives to "improve the fan experience " - By creating an home end of safe standing - investing in fan zones and entertainment And let's not forget the light shows and big flags. However a cynic would see them as attempts to just milk the fanbase for more money, moving away fans allowed them to sanitise the Itchen North paving the way for our opulent luxury Knightwood lounge (can't see many bookings for that in the Championship)
  21. Following in a Legends footsteps there. We've got the Rusk Super Simon Rusk I just don't think you understand He's gonna keep us up Win the carabao cup We've got super Simon Rusk
  22. Is there anything in his CV to give us hope? Could this be another 'Ruben Selles' until the end of season appointment?
  23. I don't think anyone could genuinely hate him, they could hate his tactics, results etc but it's not like they know Martin personally. He came across as arrogant in interviews but when I met him in person in the summer he was really sound, chatted to one of my kids about football and Saints and couldn't have been nicer , shame it had to end the way it did but was inevitable, I wouldn't be surprised if Martin was pleased go get the push and walkaway with the payoff.
  24. Don't forget the booking fee, absolute joke these prices Tickets are priced at the following: General Sale Adult: £32.50 Over-65: £32.50 18-25: £32.50 Under-18: £12.50 Under-14: £12.50 Matchday Adult: £35.00 Over-65: £35.00 18-25: £35.00 Under-18: £15.00 Under-14: £15.00 Tickets are subject to a £1.50 booking fee.
  25. With a name like that I'm sure he'll be popular with the younger players
