Genuinely hadnt realised until last May how fucking mental they are, saw a comment on the Vivek signing by a Boro fan saying squad coming together for an amazing season WHICH THEY DESERVE AFTER WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH LAST SEASON unless I'm missing something are they still continuing with this victim narrative?
-
Yeah its certainly designed to get as many big teams into the last 8 as possible, ensuring higher viewing figures = sell the rights for more. We should have won it in 2017 and came close in 2023 under Nate the Great

I agree and thats been my position for a long time, I do hate the fixed Carabao format though. I think this will be like the Leicester Cup game last season though, both sides playing reserves / u21s. West Ham have squad depth so tough game. Hope club make it £10 adults. £1 kids, going to be a tough sell even in school holidays with three home games in a week , saints will probably offer West Ham extra tickets if they think they can bring more than the standard 3k

And benefit from Azaz vision , nicely paired for his type of game. Hope he can pick up a bit from his Championship experience last season , hopefully more reliable fitness wise than Loch Ness Drogba , we'll need that with so many games to play
-
Thanks that would be good, I've not followed their fortunes much any idea on incoming signings? The dresded New manager bounce for them is another factor
-
He's a very good signing for Boro though, was excellent at Bristol City last season
-
Mate anyone who has been a Saints fan as long as I have knows how these things work, not lost in the league for 7 months is mental , bound to go and have a blip We often seem to draw at Watford so seems likely scenario to me
-
Mubama was very highly rated at West Ham and they were gutted when he left, my Hammers mate said perhaps he looked so good at youth level as was so physically developed but highly rated young player who has played for England at lots of age groups, he could learn a bit from more experienced Larin
-
Yeah not much interest from the sound of it, was hoping Newcastle would at least give us £20M and we could move on but they chose to buy elsewhere. Accounting wise think he's valued at £10M on our books having completed 2 years of a 4 year contract, need to cover at least that and get wages off
-
I agree. Dont know much about current Watford side but they had some dangerous young players last season, that Australia International particularly (Irankunda) , they have another new manager i think so hard to know if much has changed. Looking at our first 7 fixtures we didnt win any of those equivalent games last season so as much as a winning start is important need to be realistic Last season Watford (a) draw Stoke (h) defeat Millwall (h) draw Birmingham (a) draw Lincoln (a) didn't play but similar to Oxford defeat Swansea (h) draw Bristol City (h) draw

Shea Charles - Official: Signs for Fulham
Football Special replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Still a good deal for Fulham in my opinion -
Club shop was busy yesterday afternoon, plenty of those new away kits being purchased, particularly kids sizes. Personally I think its a shame last seasons fa cup kit was only a limited edition pricey one that they never bothered to sell in kids sizes , would have been perfect as an away
-
Can see its sold out at some point over the last day, thats Colchester, Watford and Lincoln sold out so far. Quite a few left for Birmingham still on sale to members at the moment
-
I think we go strong tomorrow as squad preparation, but will then do our best to lose in the 2nd round with a team of u21s like the Leicester fa cup game last year
-
My kids like it as well
