For Ramsdale I was told last year that Newcastle fully covered his wages and the loan fee covered our installment to Arsenal for that season so that at least recouped 1/4 of the transfer fee.
-
Yeah I wont even try to understand it, its a uefa thing over 3 year period? I've seen mention they need to win our net spend trophy to bring them back into line but makes no sense compared to what some other teams have spent especially with income from high Prem finish and winning Europa league
-
Clearly they are hoping we fold and accept their bid by panicking they are going for the other mush instead Don't fall for it Saints
-
Please DM @Turkish for more details , I believe he's looking to take advantage of Southampton Pride being on this weekend to redirect their march to the Ted Bates statue and boost our numbers
-
Agree nice to hear perspective and he seemed like a sound fella, but West Ham fans are ALWAYS moaning, they moaned about David Moyes not being good enough for them after delivering a European trophy, their expectations are well out of sync with the reality, that said I thought he over-played the issues they have - i still fancy them for a top two finish.
-
Very good point, I think they do that due to the tv cameras being in the Kingsland so hope the crowd looks better for the tv audience who can't see the 6000 empty seats along the perimeter
-
Usually a multi choice option for all the games on, no build up or pundits, makes the ticket prices even more mental - 3 home games in a week - carabao corrupt cup where draw is fixed in favour of teams in Europe - £25 ticket plus £2 ticket tax PER ticket £27 - reserve line up , George Long in goal , likely defeat - available to watch on TV All that considered a 10k plus attendance should be applauded
-
We still owe a chunk of the original transfer fee to Man City (£10M?) so i think we really need to hold out for a decent profit to be able to re-invest it
-
Weird thing with Edozie is his agent has tried to get him a move over last few windows and it just hasnt worked out for him, would be a nice bonus if he can go and have a good season for us now.
-
Agree, stats can be even more misleading when adding in Adam Armstrong (did he finished as our league top scorer last season despite leaving in January?!) Just feels to me that we're missing some of the crucial match winning players , need others to step up, reliance on Larin an issue if he gets injured
-
It does feel that way, what % of our goals last season were scored by players no longer here (or leaving) , must be quite high between Stewart, Charles,THB, plus Jander being unavailable probably for another week at least, thats some key players missing. In regards to Scienza, Watford players cynically set out to injure him in the first half last week, he took a battering, if teams take that approach for now and double up on him we need to make the most of the space that creates for other players.
-
Its mindbogging, proper piss take of a bid, we might as well reply with a £15M bid for Watkins just to make a point. This and the Benfica offer that was clearly never going to be accepted just feel like a public attempt to unsettle the player as they'd have known no chance of these bids working.

We seem to have had our smallest away allocations early this season , Lincoln, Wrexham , after that 3 of the following 5 aways are midweek, tough autumn with Norwich and Sheffield United long journeys on a school night
-
I think they did sell out , hard to tell though with that stand. Real shame to see Millwall reduce the away allocation, was good taking 3k there , now only get 1800

Not only win %, would love to know his total income since then, must be all set for retirement doing yoga on a beach in Bali surely
