Players.....and the board for not recruiting a striker in summer transfer window

Does this club deserve your support and money?
Football Special replied to Saint Billy's topic in The Saints
Yeah I agree, and I terms of match going I kept going in other bad eras , doesn't feel right to stop just because results are bad, eventually players, managers, directors of football, owners come and go , it's us the fans who remain the constant -

Southampton v Preston - Saturday 3pm

Also need to factor in which players will be ill this week -
Sorry mate we have QPR and Sheffield Wednesday as well before international break

Expecting a big crowd for the u21s game v Real Madrid on Wednesday, roughly 7,500 tickets sold , I've been sent this apparently works for 4 free tickets but I'd already purchased, anyway regardless of all the negativity around the club I'd definitely encourage fans to come along and see the youngsters, been playing some great football and it *might* just be a rare enjoyable game of football at St Mary's , scan the QR code

Beat me to it 🤦🏻♂️

They did, apparently he took Woking from the conference to the champions league in just six seasons, those sort of things don't go unnoticed Chez
-
Yeah there's definitely more to it with him than just feeling a bit poorly, since he tried to force a move to Ipswich he's hardly played. Lack of leadership and authority within the club leaves us with high earning players never actually playing, I know Aribo isn't illness but that also requires some explanation, I believe he's still one of our highest paid
-
What did Blackmore say? Would be interesting to read / listen
-
Sesay was also in Leicester and actually scored for u21s , could have shared the cab! Aribo still one of our highest paid players None of it makes any sense
-
No it's not normal "Downes has previously been forced to miss games with illness, and Ross Stewart pulled out of the squad against Northampton during the warm-up back in August. Tom Fellows came on against Bristol City on Tuesday evening, despite feeling rough, while Damion Downs did not travel to Ipswich earlier this season due to illness. Asked why Southampton have suffered with so much illness during this campaign, Still added: "I'd love to give you an answer to that. "I'd love to have a doctor's degree and understand it, but I'll be honest with you, I don't at all. But it is a recurring theme, and it's something that we need to fix"

Blackburn 2-1 Saints - Match Threads
Football Special replied to Willo of Whiteley's topic in The Saints
Both of them were ill apparently -
I've never known a team have so many cases of sickness, we've had multiple cases in just first few weeks of the season where players have been unavailable due to a "bug" My experience in business is when things are good everyone is there and wants to be involved, but when things start going wrong people go missing, something isn't right behind the scenes

I'm not sure if that's enough for me, let's say Still gets the sack and we end up with Lallana as caretaker what would we have to get behind? The same problems caused by the board all remain and in my opinion we still struggle to start with a cohesive starting XI
