Ben probably isn't going to be used as a striker, his primary position is winger and Martin stated we were still looking to sign a winger + striker so I believe that his plan would be for Ben on the left wing, Arma on the right and potential signing in the middle. At least I hope so, I do not see Stewart doing anything for us really but I'd be happily proven wrong

It’s a shame really, I thought Fraser was a great addition to the squad. He had a good impact as a sub, offered lots of experience and had the ability to play defensively too as we saw in the latter stages of the play-offs. I figured he would have been cheap too, especially as Newcastle do not want him at all and Eddie Howe forces him to train with the U21s just as he did before his loan to us.

How are people in here lumping Edozie with Mara? Have you ever watched Edozie play??? I really do not understand why our fans get excited at signing skilful players and then complain about them non stop if they lose the ball, saw the exact same with Tadic and Boufal (but opinions seemed to change with Tadic when he left). If you go and watch City, watch how often Doku loses the ball. Shocker, it’s a lot. But it’s often in the attacking third and attempting to do something that results in a higher likelihood in a good chance. From what I’ve seen from Edozie, he is very good at passing his man and I’ve watched teams kick at him and even swap fullbacks so they can commit more fouls just to stop him. He plays low driven balls across the box which are really difficult to defend but our players tend not to follow up very often and you’ll often find Che was outside the box or Armstrong was coming close. To me Edozie definitely has the makings of a good player and he does he best and certainly tries every single time he is on the pitch which is hell of a lot more than I can say for a lot of players I’ve seen in the past 5 years.

Are you aware he played the full group stage for Celtic the past 2 seasons? But I never claimed he’d be at Southampton for 2 years if he chose to move this way anyway, could get relegated and he’d been gone by the end of the season. Anyway in the last 5 years, only 3 players have moved from Atalanta to good premier league sides. Hojlund, Diallo and Romero. And Hojlund did nothing to warrant the move he got. All I’m saying is that a move to play with a manager you’ve already been with for 2 years in a favourable league might be a swaying point over choosing to join a team he may struggle to be a standout player at if he doesn’t want Atalanta to be his end goal. And the Champions League football isn’t something he hasn’t been used to for the 2 seasons he has been at Celtic. Money talks and tonnes of players are moving from Stuttgart or Girona who got Champions League this season and moving to teams that didn’t because they get offered more money and they’d rather be somewhere else.

I wouldn't really say its an of course. We can potentially pay him higher wages, reunite him with a manager he knows and spent 2 years playing for and also provide an easier way into bigger premier league sides providing that is what he wishes to achieve (I'd say from the fact he spent his entire youth and early career in England this could be likely). And before someone makes the argument that Atalanta have European football, so do Celtic.

Saints Kits Season 2024/25 - Page 24 NSFW

https://shop.mancity.com/gb/en/manchester-city-goalkeeper-jersey-2024-25/701230984-white.html Good to know our goalkeeper kit isn't even unique they just used the exact same one for City as well. At least ours costs £20 less I guess -
O'Riley was very consistent in League One with MK Dons (I know not saying much due to the league) but he was a consistent high performer without the high G/A. Since then at Celtic he has pushed those performances a step further and even has featured 12 times in the Champions league and in last seasons' campaign he provided 3 assists in the CL. Considering Celtic only scored 5 overall in their 6 games i'd say 3 assists against top European sides in a struggling side along with some very strong performances on a consistent basis definitely makes him worth having a proper go at getting.

I really hope the atmosphere doesn't go sour like it has been a lot as soon as the team start to get battered by a few of the bigger sides. I've always felt like our fanbase recently seems to just give up (obviously not surprising given our last few years). Just mainly hoping for the fans not to start booing after losses again, we are going to get a lot and it won't instil confidence in any of the new signings or existing players. We should just enjoy being back.

Lots of these will be from people buying the memberships too though and using their vouchers on the shirts, but kit sales are pretty much guaranteed to rise being in the premier league again. -
I think his point was more that the players named aren't even really well regarded in the Brazilian league where as Pahars was at least a prolific goalscorer in the Latvian division. Juan got 1 goal in 27 appearances in the Brazilian Seria A in 2023 and is yet to score after 8 in the 2024 season, so it is easy to see why people would question the reasoning behind buying a player like that. However, I do find it exciting the same way you do and these players look to be cheap and taking a punt will not cost the club much at all.

Does anybody know how the club go about selling long sleeve shirts? I have a preference for the long sleeve shirts but tend to just buy short sleeve as its what they usually have, but I know they do them and they even had the long sleeves on sale a month ago or so. -

They literally cannot be worse than using untraceable currency to allow people to do illegal betting. Not to mention cryptocurrency is already a gamble, it's like multi-level gambling. Bring back Veho, I loved those guys -

I honestly am a little shocked at the sponsor, I get the club 'needs money' but the sponsor didn't have licensing to operate in the UK until a couple days ago hence the waiting time for the shirt reveal and not only that, they have marketed it to us as a 'gaming platform' when its actually a gambling site that promotes illegal gambling to global audiences (Mainly China) and uses cryptocurrency so its not traceable. I cannot wait for the ban. BBC Article explaining how those companies are run and how they bypass the marketing licensing required to sponsor a shirt as well: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64662006 -
