  1. Can I ask, in which thread do we talk about todays match vs Notts Forest? Depressing 0-1 result - need to reed some opinions from my fellow Saints supporters
  2. I think J. Jenas did a kind of a moderated "John Arne Riise" = contacting women for dating purposes on sms. Except: 1. John Arne wasn't married (and not a married father) , I don't think, and 2. Riise didn't really know the women he contacted, who were primarily publicly known younger women as far as I remember. For example a woman from the female national handball team in Norway. So incredibly stupid.
  3. As much as I idolized MLT throughout his career I have not got a clue what his conspiracy therories - or whatever created all the fuzz about him (that I chose to hear (very little) about - are about......, as I chose to never look into it. Is it all connected to the somewhat controversial Covid / Corona pandemic and the vaccines, or what? Or are we on "9/11 was an inside job" level here? Please, just tell me shortly.
  4. I agree. It's 20 out of 38 games, though. (Still a fairly big chunk of the games, agreed). Correction: I misunderstood, sorry, you are of course talking about getting 40 points in the specific 22 matches against the specific eleven teams I mentioned 👍 I agree - we will probably NOT succeed in reaching 40 points from those specific 22 games, so, yes, we will have to take points from the socalled bigger teams as well.
  5. Yes 👍 And I hope the fact that we have been in the best division 38 seasons out of the last 46 seasons will give us the edge compared to at least 10 of the 11 teams mentioned below. As you know It will take for instance 10 wins and 10 draws to collect the "magic 40 point survival" border. 40 points we will probably primarily have to collect from matches vs the following 11 oppositions. Ipswich, Everton, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Wolves, Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham, Forest, Brighton and West Ham. It should be do-able for us, hopefully more do-able for us than for Ipswich and a couple of other teanms, and I hope we collect the first 3 points tomorrow at home vs Forest and then at least another point vs Brentford. If we can manage that, and I think we can - RM and his crew can hopefully evaluate things positively during the international break that follows.
  6. Good point 👍 but I expect them to find it very hard to win matches in the prem.
  7. I seriously doubt Ipswich will be succesful for the third season in a row - now being a prem team - after so many years away from the elite division.
  8. Fulham 2.0 when they went up through beating Bford in the play-offs, spent way over 100 million and went straight back down again.
  9. Admittedly several classes above McCarthy's distribution abilities. End of debate right there.
  10. Hopefully - if the transfer happens 👍
  11. 👍 10 mill. all in all for that one year - how financially mad it may sound - could be worth every pound. Would certainly make me less nervous than buying the injury prone Dutch keeper. I expect Wolves to struggle this season, so Wolves potentially signing Ramsdale on loan sounds very bad in my years.
  12. Ramsdale must be very hungry for playing, and personnally I'd rather see him signing om loan for a year - than an injury prone keeper proven elsewhere (Eresdivisie) at a price of 10 million pounds. We don't have the best experiences with injury prone players. So - I think I'd rather loan Ramsdale for a year for 5 million than buying the Dutch man for 10.
  13. Very encouraging 😎 👍
  14. And in line with Russells wanting us to be exactly that: a "nasty" team to meet. Last season. What he meant was of course that other teams would hopefully run out of energy running after the ball all the time with our pass and move style.......
  15. I have been taught that almost every transfer rumour from Fabrizio Romano materializes So - good rumour!
  16. Ok, at which price?
  17. Until I hear Patricio or someone of his caliber is ours I will keep having sleepless nights, I'm afraid. Probably suffering from PTSD as I keep dreaming Stephens passing the ball to Macca, who immediately passes the ball to Isak
  18. And Saint Patrício between the sticks
  19. Of course most of us remember him as Wolves' keeper for 3 seasons. 23 matches for Roma in Seria A last season. Still an international, but no longer no. 1. Played one match for Portugal in 2024. From Wikipedia: Rui Pedro dos Santos Patrício ComM (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈʁuj pɐˈtɾisju]; born 15 February 1988) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Portugal national team and last played club football for Serie A club Roma. He is often nicknamed "São Patrício" (Saint Patrício) for his saves for club and country.[6] Could he really become our keeper this season? Within the laws of transfers/loan deals between 2 sister clubs?
  20. Definitely not untrue. However, I fear that Broja might be returning to the scene with something to prove. In an Ipswich shirt - and his loan signing for the tractor boys alarms me. Admittedly he could be a failure ,though. I really, really hope so.
  21. we just can't allow ourselves to finish belowe Ipswich, Forest, Bournemouth and a small handfull of other teams. Seriously.
  22. True enough. I keep my fingers crossed 👍
  23. How can Ipswich do so well in the transfer marked? Yes, I know they were great - 43 years ago.....
  24. yes, apparently....., on loan.
