Very impressive performance by Saints, 3-0 to take into an away leg is fantastic. The away fans were great around the town and in ground. with The Clash and Motorhead blasting out while at a Saints European game (and winning) what more can you ask for! Well done saints..

I think 3-1 to Saints. Although Palace are better now than at start season and saints depleted I still think the players on the pitch will want to win and show how good they are. The cup is a leveller so with Palace being favs as a banana skin team that then means Saints are the under dogs.

Great find. I was in the Milton End too. Lots of fans both Saints and Spurs climbing in the ground for free. Ground was packed solid. Great pitch invasion too at end. I think Saints were fav to win and as I recall the better team too. Got the programme somewhere so must dig it out. Those were the days, cheap entrance, free away trains as just get a platform ticket, 1,0000 of saints away fans at most game too. I went to quite a few and half our form at school got detentions for being spotted at Winchester station on route to London for games!! Wasn't Mark Lawrenson playing for Brighton at the time!!

It wont matter how many players Saints get in, its going to take weeks for the team (if there is one of any experience) to get going. Creating goal chances and scoring goals is a worry as I see it, but now we have keeping goals out added to the problem. If the goal keeper goes to that's even more a problem

On the plus side Saints would NOT have paid out the money they got for any of the players they have sold. None of them are worth the money we sold them for, its just Premiership overvaluation and wage greed. This is the cost of Prem football and a small club like Saints have no power or real money backing to start controlling other clubs. The only thing Saints are in control of is selling the club which is going along very well so far.

The club is not in `control` of anything it does, its sold out to money. You cant refuse a player leaving and most clubs would want any of the Saints players including u19s. just watch in the next week as 3-4 more players go. Saints were just as underhand in getting the bloke who didn't speak English so you cant now try to control things.

I am not renewing season ticket after years and years on the basis that the cost is far too expensive. Its time for direct action, I don't care if other clubs in Prem are more or less expensive. Saints are just a Capitalist money making machine now and extract as much money from the fans as possible. bring back league 1 at least its affordable.

Could be a new stat, least amount of goals scored. I cant see where goals are going to come from in first 3 months. The goals against could hit 100 this time. Saints have gone from amazing to amazingly stupid in one season for not seeing this on the horizon.

Not bothered about players leaving, the Prem is full of mercenaries and money will always drive Saints players away. Liverpool wont win title for another 18 years and Spurs win nothing as a so called big club. Fans should be more concerned about the huge cost of the season ticket. £625 rip off, especially as Saints will play 7 a side this season

England 1-1 Italy. Italy will hack and kick Rooney who will be sent off. Italy are not that good so nothing to worry, if Croatia can score and take the game to Brazil then England should take the game to Italy. if he wanted to stay then he could of signed a new contract by now, the only thing that's stopped him is waiting for offers from other clubs. Another manager just using Saints as a stepping stone
