  1. Personally I would go for same team that started against Derby with subs as: Bart Cork Wotton John Peckhart
  2. It will technically be 3-4-1 if Wright and Hammill are selected.
  3. + Essien.
  4. Roll on Blackpool!!!! Would love to see our young team vs the Arsenal in the next round.
  5. You clearly didn't see the Boro game at SMS in 2005.
  6. I think it has bugger all to do with Lowe. I have had a season ticket for 5 years but didn't renew this year as: a) I live in Reading and its a bit of a trek and my cars are a bit juicy. b) I have a young son who I generally only get to spend quality time with at the weekend. c) I spend a month or two a year overseas and miss a number of games. d) It was ****e last year. e) We never sell out now so can go when I feel like it. I am sure I am not that different to others and to be honest people blaming Lowe is just a poor excuse. I probably would have gone on Saturday but for the poor time and the fact I can watch out new squad in HD for the first time. As soon as my lad is old enough I'll be back for the season ticket(s)
  7. http://forums.therams.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=15131&start=135&tstart=0 Whoever posted the last post on here, well done!
  8. I was really ambivalent when the Lowe Vs Wilde events went on two years ago. Football First has since died on its arse and the club has been financially destroyed by a bunch of lunatics. So to Episode 2, he seems to be doing the right things so far.
  9. I have got 100-1 on DMG being top scorer in the league so I am very clear it was his goal.
  10. x percent of **** all is **** all
  11. I agree, I hate this league. Instead of gambling to go straight back up we had a sabbatical and then bet everything on the last year of the parachute payment money.
  12. To save you the bother of reading the readily available annual reports. Y/E June 2007 - £4m Operating Loss. And as reported in the trading update Y/E June 2008 - £17m Opertaing Loss. How come the £13m extra loss you ask? £6.7m reduction from the loss of parachute payment. I would imagine the additional £6.3m loss has resulted from a combination of Higher wages for new players (Euell, Saga, Thomas, Safri, John) Loan deal salaries for Wright, Dailey, Lucketti, Perry, Hammill, Vignal, Pericard. a continuation of the downward trend in turnover of items much as matchday income and merchandise. The payoffs for the boardroom merry-go-round So there we have it, if costs exceed revenue at somepoint we will be fooked. Selling the family silver (player trading) will save us for now but we are getting to the bare bones of saleable assets. Basic economics dictate what we have to do now is get the wages and other outgoings to a sustainable level. The route out - cut our cloth, regroup, remember what got us to the top league many moons ago and attack this league with passion hard work and determination. The crowds will return, the sponsors will clamour, players will want to come, we will get promoted and be the stronger for it. Who knows we may even attract a billionaire. (I am not ITK before yous ask). My glass is certainly one quarter full as I write this.
  13. just about every paper has been guilty of takeover BS
  14. Glad to see he is bonding with our new Dutch setup.
  15. a fair point, he just looked soooooo good compared to the **** around him.
  16. I hope it doesn't happen but Davies will go as he is a saleable asset. Svennson signing deal has probably made this possible. £500k profit in 6 months for us and no doubt a hefty sell-on clause for when Stoke get relegated and he gets punted on. Still leaves us with Svennson Perry Lancashire Racine with Wotton and Spiderman as backups. Can't wait for the spin about a log jam of centre-backs.
  17. Bummer.... The Mail has been Rupert's mouthpiece in the past. http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport/football/article-1045772/Potters-talks-Saint-Ipswich-Volz-eye-Magpie.html?ITO=1490 It looks like he's offski
  18. We had nobody of the ability of Guthrie at the time. Can't believe that you could even compare him to Hammill!
  19. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=10413 Sorry I posted elsewhere but thought it deserved its own thread. Great news.
  20. Yes http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=10413
  21. Have nothing to say but I make Four
  22. Given that we will make a load of changes at 60 minutes I am going for 2-1 at that point and no idea at end.
  23. me too
  24. LLS and St David were rumoured to be preparing to post, but when they had to prove they could put up £5 they withdrew.
  25. Does anyone think that £5 may scare off potential investors?
