Slow on the board tonight I am going to have a glass of wine. Has anyone got Ricky's number as I want his ideas on what to pick from the cellar?

Thought the back of 5 of Davis, Murty, Thomas, Perry and Harding looked the best combo I have seen in a good while against Millwall. Lancashire needs to get a bit of confidence back and maybe a loan away is the answer. From memory he was a talented youth prospect and to be fair has had to ensure playing in a losing team at a key development time for him.

The New Lowe stand. In appreciation of delivering a Premiership stadium with a League One side.

Out of interest, who would you would your claim be against?

Perhaps 19c's most reasonable post ever. To paraphrase a cricketing rule, "play the post, not the poster"

I wish they had employed similar attacking tactics on the pitch, we might have scored more goals. 2008/09 is but a bad memory for me - let them ***** slap eachother.

I think CCC, not Prem. Would love him back here.

Perhaps we can use it to buy Pompey?
-
Good idea, we have a logjam of keepers.

Just doing my prediction for Saturday, out of interest what is your feeling for the score?
-
I thought he did allright for us. As others have noted he showed a bit of 'ticker' playing through a broken arm.

I have been paying £20 per year, I assume it will auto-renew as that as I have not been sent a variation to terms letter.
-
I think your application may fail ;-)
-
Why not just shout "Rickkkkkkkiiieeeee" in Bianca from Eastenders style each time he scores?

Football Factory wannabies.

Good news for Pompey, I hear Marc Jackson (lifelongskate) is on standby with an offer.
-
If there was any reason to doubt his legendary status amongst the fans I think it was dispelled today. When he walked around the touchline I think the whole ground stopped watching the game to follow MLT.

It saddens me in a way the plight of both clubs. When Pompey nearly went skint in the late 80's it didn't feel sporitng to lay the boot in to them. I am sure the vast majority of Skates with even the smallest Cerebal Cortex would have felt the same about us this Summer. I'd honestly hope for a time where we could go toe to toe with them, preferably in the highest division. In reality I think they are fast approaching the point where Gaydar will put them into admin and cut his losses. I think they may take years to hit the bottom (as I think we did May 2009).

Very glad I have moved to Wokingham having seen your username.

I rated Niemi when he was here. He left ultimately because: a) We were relegated with no chance of bouncing back that season. b) Dave Coles was sacked so Burley could bring in his buddy Webster. Paul Smith never looked the same after this either. He owes us nothing and had a right to earn a living and work with his mate.

Of course they did, the moon is only visable at night.

Thanks Trousers for the updates, I was at the game along with 681 other people and have to say I was impressed with the Farnboro set-up and team. I think they will do very well this season. Anyway, my impressions of our team - many of whom I have not seen before. Bart - Solid enough, one incident in 1st half he remained rooted to his line instead of coming to clear which he was lucky to get away with. Argent - Did ok but didn't do much attacking, horrendus challenge was a pre-season yellow, but would have been a league red Molyneux - Stands off to far, offers nothing in attack Lancashire - Slow Saville - Slower Pulis - Didn't do too much wrong, just didn't do anything particulary right Thompson - Only woke up after the goal, looks bright and industrious, brilliant vision and execution for his goal think Beckham vs Wimbledon. Morgan - Looked comfortable on the ball, good distribution and always thinking Gobern - Strong and pacey, can we turn him into a centre forward, can't help thinking he would have posed mor of a threat down the middle. Saga - Usually praised for his work rate but wasn't at the races tonight. Looked classy on the ball and one wicked shot that was just wide but I think the fat lady is gargling in preperation. White - One good header that looked a harsh offside, missed a sitter, worked hard. All in all the team just did not play. Fboro where the better side and certainly attacked harder. They had two players 9 and 19 who destroyed our centre backs and showed what a bit of pace can do. The penalty was harsh, to be fair our man had been tring to haul the striker down for the past 20 yards and the striker displayed Bear Grylls tenacity to make it half way into the box. The second goal our defence switched off, quick free kick, a pass, a cross and a goal. Agreed we played a reserve side tonight and added to Saturday's result I think it is fair to say we have a team to challenge for the league but not a squad.

Very helpful, thank you. I am looking forward to similar advice and welcome from the Millwall Comms officer for our away trip there this year.

I'll be going for my first game of the season.
