I’d keep Forster in. . Stand Redmond down,Bring in Vest and Mina and let Adams start to give Danny a rest. Djenepo needs the rough edges knocking off before I’d give him a start. Bench him by all means but he hasn’t really performed to his best by any means yet.Ensure young Tella is given a little more time, say 20 minutes and I can honestly see another win and a breakthrough into the ‘30s’ at last.

And to think Wolves paid a mere £18 mil for Traore. My MOTM last night was John Moss. Not only did he let the game flow he actually booked a diver. Let’s now go and grab those three points on Sunday.COYS

Both Dean and Mason have been ‘stood down?’ For any matches this weekend. Not before time!
-
At the moment 1545 its snowing quite heavily here in North Shropshire. Wolves are only 25 miles away down the A41. I will keep an eye on their site and the local Express and star to see if there are any problems with their selections.According to neighbors who are Wolves supporters they are not in the least confident for Thursday any more than we are with our injury and selection problems. Watch this space.

We lost the game because on the day (yet again) we just didn’t defend. We gifted them three goals. Ralph must be tearing his hair out. Finger pointed firmly at the Board failing to recognise our defence is currently a charity.
-
Fine. But will they also mention the shite refereeing from theMoron in the middle.? Unlike other old any previous gamesI have a good feeling about this one. Saints to win by a large margin.
-
Irrespective of the score we lost three more points. The Media will ensure we will be reminded of the score at every possible opportunity. With a fully fit squad we can certainly win a few more. I didn’t expect anything other than a loss with the ‘dynamic disasters’ in control. We proved, even with ten men that Manure are not invincible as we got through their defence a few times last night but our final move was crap. We can blame VAR until the cows come home but it’s ‘humans ‘ who make those decisions and shame be on their heads forever, the very same two humans who cheated us last Saturday also cheated us tonight. I have said for a very long time on this forum that we have a very thin squad. Until there is some investment we will continue to be so. I am optimistic that we will get up to the 30 points on Saturday.
-
And surprise surprise. guess who has the Bin dippers game? Kevin Friend. you couldn't make it up!
-
Well after the shit show of yesterday be prepared for an even more biased performance from Mike Dean. My guess is that Manure will be awarded at least two pens and we will have at least one Red. The Owners of SFC are not prepared to spend any money and we, the supporters, have to sit back and accept the fact that we cannot compete with any other Club in the Prem for obtaining any new players. I have supported Saints for over sixty years and this has to be probably the lowest I have been. The lads will not just roll over and give up, but how much longer can Ralph be with us knowing his hands are tied?
-
It’s almost impossible to beat 13. Yet again we were cheated by officials.
-
Lee Mason. Is the Ref. Not born in Pompey! Apologies.
-
He is currently more of a nuisance to us than the opposition. Send him back. He’s only on loan.
-
Not impressed with Arsenal because in my humble opinion they are not very good. We have been exposed for a considerable time now in not having sufficient back up in times of multi injuries. We just couldn’t repeat our Saturday performance because we lost two more key players. Mistakes galore and some players believing that the ball belonged to Arsenal and kept giving it back to them at every opportunity. When will someone have the courage to kick Theo’s arse.? At present he’s only a nuisance to Saints. As for Stevens? Why can’t he use his left foot? Far too many errors last night. If the owner won’t spend on a couple of better players than we have at present then we have to accept that we’re not going to progress. How Kevin Friend is seen by the powers that be to be a Senior Referee is beyond me. Anyone see the ‘non-pen’ he gave on Saturday? His favours to Arsenal last night were typical. Should we be able to get a little improvement we may just get a draw with Villa.
-
So we lost to a team that now sit second in the table. I have said many times in the past that our squad has no depth. I hate to lose but am a realist and know we can’t win every game. However, I do have a question. How did Maddison stay on the pitch? A nasty piece of work who played the Ref like an old violin. Stuart Atwell is a terrible Ref and it really did show yet again his inconsistency, especially in the second half. Missing the strengths in our side through injury didn’t help. Unlike some I don’t hate Leicester but I certainly cannot stand the adulation by many of their arrogant Manager. PS. We no longer bet on how early the ‘big loss’ is mentioned but ‘how many times’ We counted eight. Any advance?
-
We have a very good chance to gain three more points here. Their defenders are suspect and the only threat is the 'Vardy dive'. Watch his elbows and snide little digs.Control him and we control the game. I see that the Great Pundit is predicting that we lose. Lets give him yet another kick in the teeth by thrashing them and remind them that this time we will play with eleven men unlike the infamous loss some time ago. Che Adams is due to excel and four goals against the Foxes will be icing on the cake. COYS

Thanks for the update. My fixture lists will be changed.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't we have Leeds on Tuesday 12 away before the Foxes on Saturday 16th? or has Leeds been cancelled?
-
We ain’t frit any more. Up yours Lawro,Carragher,Smith et al. We beat you fair and square.
-
The result clearly demonstrates how thin our squad really is when we have to call upon Shane Long as a sub. He just hasn’t got it any more and Djnepo appears to be out of his depth in the Prem. I am not complaining about our current position in the Table but the last two matches just show that there is no plan B and the responsibility lies with the Owners. No one really was outstanding yesterday and even Romeo couldn’t fire them up. I just hope that Che’s boot to the head has no serious repercussions. Many other players would have played on it but he just shook his head and got on with it. Again there were inconsistencies with the Ref. Hope you are back soon Ralph.

This time yesterday had we won 2-0 we would be fourth. However, fortunes change so quickly that we now find ourself 9th. One point off 5th and just two points off 4th. Stop the bloody whinging and recognise that we are still a vast improvement on last season and leave the 0-0 behind. We didn’t lose as Mr. Lawrenson predicted. I am quite impressed our goal difference too. Wet Spam on Tuesday and a chance for us to increase both the points and the goal difference. What’s not to like?
-
I find it a little hard to believe some of the posters on here. Ralph has transformed the dross 'crab football' we played under the previous three managers and yet some of them are still complaining. When was the last time we were up there in the thick of it? If we continue with our improvement, its possible we can have a total of thirty points after winning our next two games. At last we have a group of players who can perform and entertain us. Time to stop the bloody moaning and start to be positive again. COYS

Saints vs Sheff Utd - Match & Reaction Thread
hasper57saint replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
Unwritten rule. Never turn your back on the ball. Yet again the Bin dippers get a pen. -
Carragher is in the wrong job. He should be a referee in the watermelon seed spitting contests.

We have played much better than this and lost. Personally I don’t give a shite about our penalty. We won! Only whinge I have is the relentless drivel that comes from Alan Smiths mouth. We will have 2000 Saints cheering us on for our next game and we will see wether they add to the flavour of yet another win.
-
Lallana has discovered that our midfielders and defenders are a lot more aggressive than in his days, and is suddenly feeling quite ill. We can win this one with the right approach and Ralph must not, under any circumstances, let Shane Long anywhere near the pitch.Bring on one of the nippers at least they will give it a go. Shane's faded of late (that's if he ever shone since his brace against Villa a million years ago) I never predict scores,I leave that to the well-paid pillock Lawro, but a win is on the cards and after the 'extra time' Fergie goal (again) lets wrap it up so there's no sitting on their heels like last week. If Danny and Nathan are available ,even after the break, bring them on. They will submerge Dunk! In saying that Armstrong will need to up his game. Stop the 'crab football' and put your laces through it.COYS
