Home to Northampton Town?

It's not often that I praise the Ref but I thought he had a good match yesterday. We didn't play badly (I have seen a thousand times worse) but on any other day we'd have blown Villa away in the first twenty minutes.Prior to arriving at SMS yesterday my Grandson played for his academy in a village near Wolverhampton.He hit a ball from 18 yards out and normally it would have been goal of the match but it flew over the cross bar.I don't know what part the wind played yesterday but I saw many passes go astray with the wind effect.We can do better and I for one believe RK knows our weaknesses and is (not will) addressing them. Only three more weeks to the 'Window' and "Welcome home Charlie" eh?

After the final whistle last night I felt like those Villa Fans after we tanked them by the same score in the penultimate match of last season. The difference however, is that we didn't lose three points last night all we lost was some credibility .Our strongest teams are nowhere near the 'big clubs' strongest teams and RK knows that.We have the opportunity on Saturday to put last night behind us and move on.Lets hope that Villa come to play football and not waste time,take up to 15 yards advantage on throw ins and stop the wrestling that has become so prevalent of late. PS We may even get a decent Ref then again,it's Anthony Taylor and his record is not very good. PPS. I think he booked a Chelsea player for diving against us!

RK sees the players every day and should be able to assess them far better than we can.We may not agree with his team choice but when was the last time you saw a Manager posting views/opinions on here? We were unlucky yesterday.Had Virgils shot not hit the crossbar, had he got his arse out of the way for the deflection we could have drawn or won that game.Managers fault? I think not.

I got slagged off a couple of weeks ago for daring to suggest that VW needs lots of passing practice.I've changed my position,he needs shed loads of passing practice as he appears to get worse.If he thinks he's top four then I'll come out of retirement and play for City.

I well remember the late Alan Ball as a youngster.Not very big but once he filled out he was quite a terror. Juanmi should be given a chance because people like RK don't just buy stocking fillers.He must have some potential which we don't see.Up to now we've hardly seen much of him and he's been disappointing but I'd rather trust RK's judgment than the experts in the stands.

I posted before the match that Lee Mason was 'suspect' and so it proved to be.Thankfully Pelle kept his cool but like Doddy had he lumped Adam I would cheer to the rafters.

Will Pelle get any protection from the renowned Lee Mason.We all know what the Stoke defenders are capable of and Pelle will be the target for every kind of dirty trick in the book(and a few that ain't) I just hope Graziano don't react to the provocation. I predict a win.

I've been saying for a very long time now that we have to leave a 'speed merchant' near the centre circle when defending corners. Not only does it tie up two of the opponents defenders but also gives us a better chance of clearing upfield from those corners.Other teams do it why not us?Mane is not very tall so his presence for corners is not quite the same as Pelle's. I'll get me coat.

PS. I see from the Mirror assessment that our lad was the only English player to receive 8/10. Well done Saint Ryan.

Are you sure you wrote this before the Spain game Glen? Apart from the 'injured' you selected the squad. I did watch the match and as soon as Spudface came on he started ranting at the Ref.England were their usual load of s.h.i.t.e. Thanks for yet another classic Glen.
