It happened just below me.Lamina, rather than look up and pass through the gap belted the ball about ten yards behind where Redmond had been seconds earlier and there's no way Redmond could get near it.Incidentally the ball went straight through for a Wolves throw. We all just groaned. It summed up a bitterly disappointing afternoon for us.

Before I start I'd like to say that Wolves are not a very good team. They beat us today because Hughes again made the wrong substitutions.Armstrong did nothing when he came on except give the ball away twice which led to both of their goals. We have a 6' 6" defender who is part of the zonal marking fiasco. We have strikers who cant strike and defenders who can't defend.Above all else we have a manager who doesn't manage. For 78 minutes of that game this afternoon I honestly thought a 1 -1 draw would justify the c rap we were watching then Armstrong arrives and its Goodnight Nurse. On this non performance next Saturday will see us exposed as a very mediocre lower PL quarter team. Hughes has to take responsibility for this mess or leave.

Just a reminder didn't the 'weaker' team Brighton beat the 'top of the pile' Manure recently? Nothing is out of reach in football.
-
We've been a bit of a bogey team for them of late.We could just steal this.
-
There was I believing we would at last get three points at home only to be kicked in the b.a.l.l.s by an inept bunch of over rated over paid pillocks. Giving away a two goal lead to a team as poor as Brighton is a criminal offence. Same old same old.

Seagulls tend not to fly well in the dark and we have 'our fathers gun' if any should appear. Danny Ings will hit the target three or four times tomorrow and with the 'nuisance' player Long drawing their defence we should see a very fruitful game at home at last. Saints to win by a good margin.
-
We are so easy to score against that all of the other teams in the Prem know it. Whats your excuse this time Sparky? A lot of our 'players' are not very good are they?
-
Two observations FWIW 1. Everton are not very good 2. The Ref is a bin dipper.
-
When Hughes came in I honestly thought he'd go fo 4 4 2 and until the second half changes he hadn't woken up. Feed Gabbi and Ings and we should start scoring goals. The first half was appalling and the stats changed dramatically once we went onto an attacking formation. We finished up with 18 shots and could have had a pen. If we can keep this formation (less one particular under achiever) we should do well. I fancy our chances against Everton next week.

Win 4-0 tomorrow and we go top of the table!

When he scores a hat trick after coming on as sub for the last 25 mins on Sunday you'll all be lauding his praises.Welcome Home Dan. And good luck with us for many seasons to come.

Thanks for the memories Cliff.RIP

I always thought Dyche was quite a smart cookie but if(and only if) he takes FF even on loan, then I reckon he ain't as smart as he makes out.I am not so sure I agree with Shroppie that if he goes then he should play against us.He will be sent back immediately as Burnley will see through him.
-
We've got the strikers we need the midfield to serve them. Yet again today the strikers were starved of support and had to keep going back to collect the ball.
-
No doubt Sparky has made notes on who did or didn't do what. 4 4 2 anyone? It's a pre season friendly so they were instructed to lose? Just can't believe some of the comments on here today. Anyone for Crab football?
-
He didn't 'breach his contract ' he 'frustrated it' which means he didn't fulfill his agreed obligations. If and when he goes then good luck to him.Apart from his wonder goal what else did he contribute to us staying up?

We usually find ourselves against twelve via the 'Big'Clubs so whats new

Excellent summary again Glen.I posted elsewhere that Lovren got a medal for being a three time loser. Its the FA special award. Failed Again. But his head is still in Liverpool and his brain is up his a.r.s.e.

Quick question. Why do we need him?
-
Well. That's it for another four years. The euphoria created by the media didn't live up to its hype as usual. I can't say I was impressed by the England performance. At times it looked like Saints under Pillockgrino, crab football. We all know Kane can score goals as can Charlie Austin and Manelo Gabbardini but not unless they get the service. Kane certainly didn't get the service hence the fact that his penalties will probably win him the golden boot. The outstanding player for me was Jordan Pickford the rest all get well below 6/10. Right footed left back? OK for inswinging corners to be collected easily by the opposing keeper. In a way I'm glad it's over. Fourth in the World is somewhat of a misnomer.

If it does one thing, and only one thing, stop the diving cheating handballing bastards who are paid obscene amounts of money to perform then I'll be happy. PS. Tadic has gone so no more falling over stunts?
-
I watched the game with my Nipper and grandsons and am of the opinion that the Referee should have reached in his pocket, withdrew the yellow card and held it up into the faces of the screaming whinging Colombians and said"Back off or else. I'm the Referee and I make the decisions" How different that match would have been.I remember the Manure players doing the same thing in the Fergie years and he backed off from the confrontation.
-
Didn't we buy a midfielder from the Boro' a few years ago who turned out pretty good every time I saw him play? Gerry Armstrong? Sorry wrong player. Armstrong from Borough?
-
There's an enormous amount of speculation being touted at the moment and I am not of the opinion that all of it has any substance at all.In the past,as now,I await the official confirmation of players signing/leaving because various posters pretend they are ITK when they are just as speculative as the Journos who spread the rumours in the first place. There are many players I would like to join /leave us but that doesn't mean they will.
