What do you expect from the Bin Dipper? He is out of his depth even on MOTD. -
Saints vs Derby - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Thread

After the Lord Mayors Show comes the sh..cart. We gave away yet another two goal lead and this time paid the penalty. Perhaps now Ralph can really see the whole picture. -
Some of the more experienced WUM Leicester players wound him up from the off.The lad stood his ground well unto one taunt too many created a response.Second yellow wasn't in my opinion.More seriously, how did Vardy get away with his dive?

Leicester 1 Saints 2 - Post Match Celebrations

Outstanding! At last we are committed and dedicated. Excellent leadership fromRalph with the lads on the pitch actually following his directives. Only negative for me was the provocation from certain Leicester players who, with a more assertive Ref would have been off the field. Valery has to learn and I'm sure Ralph will encourage him. Happy days again after the gloom of the Hughes era. Derby will be slaughtered on Wednesday and a lovely away trip to little old Accrington is most welcome. -
The real sickener was that Pochettino was already in place before Nigel got the bullet.
-
And what a cracking game it was to see.
-
I see from the official site the training at Staplewood for the Leicester game that Gabbi is still training with them.
-
We will beat Derby and playing Accrington will make for a brilliant away day. It will remind you of the Dell with its open terraces. Let's go for it.

Thanks for your service Stephen. Good Luck at Rangers.

Manolo Gabbiadini: Joins Sampdoria - Official

I quite like him as a player but he hasn't received the service which could show his true potential. Obviously Ralph sees him differently but his reactions in front of goal have always looked positive. I shall be sorry to see him leave. -
FWIW My German contact tells me that Ralph was interested in Borussia Dortmunds Mario Gotze 26. A speedy midfielder who is in the National squad. Wonder if he's still interested?

Many years ago I remember the great Derek Dougan turning to the away fans who were giving him stick. He scored, ran to the away end and bent down and showed his bare arse to them. He didn't get banned as it was so funny. Austin will get a ban,Kompany will continue to play. Democracy does not exist in the Prem. Only money talks.

And for some unknown reason the FA continue to support the nonsense that is FFP. The mind boggles!

I only watched this one on TV as my Nipper and two grandsons were there and the Mob Phone is useful. Your overview as usual, is spot on Glen. Like you I am personally sick and tired of the blatant bias shown by referees(?) toward the more wealthy clubs. You summarise it excellently. Kompany's tackle was far worse than Hoijberg and the Ref bottles it then let's him get away with the tackle on McCarthy. Our penalty would have been given had it been Salah or Sterling. I can't see any change in the near future but the Euro League can't come fast enough for me. There's no 'fairness' in the FFP and no equality in the PL. A wealthy Plutocracy pulls all the strings. Happy New Year to you and yours Glen.

Is it time to give Angus Gunn a run in the PL
hasper57saint replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
He can see the weakness in front of him and must shudder every time the opposition get the ball. He should have collected the third rather than rely on his defence. He could do nothing with deflection. -
When you are down where we are we need a little luck sometimes. Today we had none. Why wasn't Kompany sent off for his atrocious tackle? JWP would have been granted the pen had he been playing for anyone else. Deflected goal yet again. McCarthy should have collected their third it was just a catch. All in all I am not too despondent. RH may just have time to keep us up with a clear out next month.

Saints 1 West Ham 2 - Post Match Reality Check
hasper57saint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I said before the game our only danger was the Thug elbowing and wrestling and what a great surprise. Thug acts nasty twice in the first minute he came on and the nailed on 'wrestled' penalty ignored by a Referee who in the previous nine occasions he handled a Wet Spam game they didn't lose. The better team won ably assisted by the officials. How the Thug wasn't sent off eludes me. Targett got booked and the Thug just carried on. It's not the end of the world but we really did miss PJH tonight. -
Only real threat tonight will be Carrol with his elbows and wrestling in the box. Wet Spam can be beaten and we now have the motivation to achieve it.

Bet he don't live up North like we do ?

Yesterday was a very big 'high' for all of us who turned up at the John Smiths Stadium. I gave up counting after 28 times that Huddersfield back passed to their keeper. They are just not very good. Let's not get carried away with the euphoria of winning two on the bounce as this league can turn and bite you in the bum. The change in the way we play under Ralph is so promising. The only downside for me was when some of our 'fans' chanted "You cheating Northern bastards". Every single person we met in Huddersfield were great. No animosity and most welcoming. Call the 'players' cheats as much as you want but not the people who live and support their team. I felt a little ashamed at the ignorance of a minority.

It seems like a whole lifetime since we performed like that. In their faces, ignored their theatrical 'pain' and still never gave up. Very proud to be a Saint after this performance. I bet Huddersfield won't want to play us next Saturday COYS -
I see the Ref for Sunday is Chris Kavanagh. Don't know much about him except he Reffed us last season against WBA and we won away 1-0

Oh! Ralhpie Southampton's a wonderful sight but the players you have they are mowastly ****e. Supporters are hoping you'll change this quite quick If you get us progressing Then You'll do the trick To the tune Mountains of Mourne
