The only connection Souness had with Southampton is the first three letters of his name. Terrible manager.

How long will Milner be on the pitch before committing yet another red card foul to which the Ref will be blind. With the amount of foreign players now in English (UK) football it's about time we appointed some foreign 'neutral' Refs. As we saw on Monday. Our Officials appear to favour the upper echelon teams and we in the lower regions suffer because of this. Like many posters I believe we can do this. COYS

As long as Mr. Friend is not officiating we are in with a chance.

Brighton 0 Saints 1 - Post Match Celebrations
hasper57saint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Well done Saints . Always happy to see Mr. Pundit proven wrong again. Great day to be a Saint. -
He was outstanding against Spuds but it appears he still has a lot to do to convince some of the doubters on here.
-
I see where that outstanding pundit has us down for a 2-1 loss just like the Spuds. Let's rub his stupid nose in it again lads.
-
Compared to the previous three we've had we may get a few 50/50 calls then?
-
After the disappointment of the Manure match and the euphoria of our win over the Spuds shooting down the S.h.i.t.e.h.a.w.k.s will mean three points and opens up the gap on those below us. Who's the Ref for this one?
-
After watching that this afternoon I am now more than convinced we can take three points from the S.h.i.t.e.hawks.They were very lucky to get that free kick and even luckier that the Lions keeper messed up.Murrays constant fouling continues and he needs to be hit hard very early in the game.Press them high and hit them and we will be three points closer to safety. We have the potential, lets apply it 100%

No! Just two words Kevin Friend!
-
'Wear a Red shirt'! Absolute classic Glen. No doubt that you will come up with yet another gem from our win over the 12 man Spurs. At least with your take on matches we don't need to take any heed of the c.rap that appears in the sports pages of the Nationals. Thanks for your imput Glenn. Yet again an outstanding contribution.

Win this and we are level on points but still adrift on goal difference.2 or 3 nil with a clean sheet and Ill be happy. However, who is the person in the middle for this? He can make a hell of a difference.COYS

Cheating in pro football has been around for years. One of my any observations was opposing players inadvertently stepping on the foot of the keeper to prevent any movement up or sideways and it worked. Moving the ball ten or even twelve yards closer than where the actual offence took place and taking throw ins further and further along the touch line. Diving is not new Rodney Marsh perfected it years ago and still Refs fall for it. Shirt pulling, wrestling and elbowing all take place within the view of the officials. Why have a fourth official who doesn't officiate? Can it just be because of the financial incentive? Greed is the norm in football and unless the obscenity of wages is curtailed it will continue. Rant over. I hate Kevin Friend!
-
I posted on the 'build up' that Kevin 'Enemy' (because he ain't no friend of ours) that we will see how much he hates us and so it proved. What a pity we can't do an Everton and refuse to accept the appointed official (Clattenberg) because the last three we've had are atrocious.
-
That's what I believed too!
-
Last week we had a crap Ref and lost because of his bias. Today we have one of the most anti Saints Ref and won. Up yours Lawro and Co. it's about time you opened your eyes and admitted that the PL Refereeing isabysmal. COYS

That 'tw.t' Lee Mason was Kevin enemy !
-
Kevin Friend 1 Saints nil. And we have two yellows. Unless Ralph kicks a few arses in this break we can forget the rest of this game.
-
Oh!Yeah! But they still have Kevin Friend!
-
Can we expect anything for Saturday as our 'most unfavourite' Ref is none other than Kevin Friend. Can the Club object to his appointment as he never gives us anything.
-
Haven't changed my opinion of Clattenberg but in an article today he reckons we should have had TWO penalties. Easy to see on a Video replay but at the time we all said 'Penalty'! But to no avail.
-
AND the defender stopped the man and made no attempt to get the ball. Clear cut penalty and a Red but it's Old Trafford and the history of teams getting shafted by Refs there is legion!
-
And almost every time we've played them at home there has been a biased referee including our not so supportive Kevin Friend and the great ****tenberg!
-
Only one thing contributed to our loss today Charlie. The bias of the man in the middle.
-
I tried to establish how any times we have conceded a lead and lose a game this season because of our own inadequacies but today it was the inadequacy of the (Referee) who lost us this. It's time they were brought to book as they always favour the top six clubs. We played well against the hype and should hold our heads high. We will never win against 12 men when one of them has the whistle.
