Although I'm happy with a draw it could so easily be a win. Some of the Refs decisions were appalling and a couple of Palace players could easily have been given second yellows for dissent. The team is starting to gel at last and Boufal and Adams need more game time to show what they are really capable of. Looking at Canaries v Spuds we don't have any problems. I am so glad we didn't renew our STs. If Ralph can't see the bleeding obvious then perhaps he needs to to Spec Savers. Giving JWP the captains armband is an insult of the highest level for us fans. Crab football is not in the least entertaining and yet week after week that's how we play (I'm reluctant to use the word play because perform they cannot) There's something rotten festering inside our Club and it's certainly not the employees. Until this is sorted out we will continue to drop like a stone. I don't really want the Championship but we may get a little more value for our money. I wrote in the build up that Wolves fans reckon they blow hot and cold. Today the only heat was when they tackled and a more aware Ref would have seen through their theatrics. A point is better than a loss but we should have taken all three points today. My main criticism is of Ralph for playing Gunn and JWP. He really does need to sort the problem before it's too late.

We have quite a few Wolves fans near us and most of them say wolves blow hot and cold. Saturday could easily be a day where they slip up. We deserve some luck and we may just get it this time. Don't forget Hughes was in charge the last time and we lost in the last 15 minutes because the rot had already set in with the team and his selections. Today's responsibility lies squarely on the shoulders of the Manager. He trains the team, he selects the team and from what I can see makes little contribution in motivating the team. The Captain has to make the decisions and guidance of the players on the pitch. Who is the captain? I see little or no leadership. All players are born with two feet. Redmond has one! Goalkeepers have two hands. Gunn doesn't appear to know where his are. Overall a pathetic non performance which demonstrated how mediocre Saints really are. In over 60 years of supporting Saints I cannot recall such a low period in my enthusiasm. Championship? Bit early yet but it's certainly an option.
