  1. That's literally the one points total we can't get!
  2. That was last season! And incredibly we were also in Europe...
  3. i'm sure we'll be able to get loads and loads of great deals done in a little less than 2 years.
  4. 2 strikers? what is this madness!?
  5. Yeah he did. They lost and he was terrible. Foreshadowing.
  6. Surprised i haven't seen any talk in the media of him being charged for assault... looks especially bad assaulting a child.
  7. Agree about fitness and pace and pretty much agree with the selections. Lallana I would probably live without as we have Tadic (can he also be turned in to the Tadic of 2-3 years ago?). Torn between VVD to give an unbelievable CB partnership with Toby, or Pelle to give us the target man we've missed for 18 months (plus come to think of it he brings the best out of Tadic) On balance then: Mane, Pelle (with bonus of rejuvenated Tadic), Wanyama and Toby
  8. It is the origin of the word "night-mare" though... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_hag
  9. 4 times... West ham home 3-2 ... including 2 pens Newcastle home 2-2 ... including 1 pen Everton home 4-1 ... Everton in crisis Spurs away 2-5 ... hardly screams "not awful"
  10. Do Nivea make hair products now?
  11. I think Pelle was the bigger loss. Austin chips in with goals but Pelle's overall contribution and all-round impact on opposition defenders was a lot better.
  12. Probably and yes.
  13. They missed Guernsey!
  14. I see Farage is already complaining ... it's like xmas came early.
  15. Point missed. It's not about doing an assessment for the sake of having it. It's about then using the impact assessment to exploit the opportunities / mitigate the damage... regardless of viewpoint on remain/leave it is overwhelmingly obvious there will be some sectors that benefit and some that are damaged by Brexit. Even if you think every sector is going to benefit significantly, how do we maximise those opportunities? What does that mean in terms of skills needed? What will be the impact of that on public sector services? etc etc. So it doesn't matter which side of the remain/leave vote you sit on, you should want the government to have the best view of consequences - positive or negative - so that they can steer the country and economy in the best direction. Taking DD's approach of "i don't believe in economics since it is not 100% perfect all the time" is utter lunacy.
  16. So number 4 is their current logo with "FC" added to it. Innovative.

    Boufal

Yeah absolutely agree with this and thought that was one of the best bits of the whole run. It was really important in shifting the defender's balance, which gave him the space to the right to move in to.
  18. Hmm... In some quarters, he is hailed as the "inventor" of the tin can, but a closer look at the patent, held at the National Archives in London, reveals that it was "an invention communicated to him by a certain foreigner residing abroad". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-21689069 Invented by a foreigner you say? Goodness gracious!
  19. Fair point. I should probably have read the entire 2 sentence post...!
  20. Didn't he actually say "fail at Brexit"? That's quite a different prospect from wanting the nation fail altogether.
  21. Yes very good, you're a true patriot. That is also (as you know) from a different article to the one you quoted in the first place. Sincere apologies for not realising that when you quoted it you were at the same time referring to all other articles on UK manufacturing.
  22. In other words - prior to the Brexit referendum, as a member of the EU, British manufacturing was flourishing. Up yours, Delors indeed.
  23. 2015 was before the referendum...
  24. That's not what any of it says though, but you crack on.
  25. What's your point? It says right there in the first sentence of your post that the world is warming.
