Dear Sirs, Having just read your managers comments in the above could you please remind him we did not cancel the original fixture vs. Plymouth, the football league did so as Plymouth had three players on international duty, and on Plymouth’s request. When these players did not go on international duty for various reasons, Southampton requested the game to be played on the original date but this was refused. The league then set the new date, which seems to have upset him, why? Your manager seems to have an agenda against Southampton football club, I suggests he concentrates on Brighton football club and just live with the fact we will be playing championship football by right and not by design. I look forward to a reply, and to visiting your new stadium next year, and hope we can both promote south coast football in the championship. But I fear your manager will cause more harm than good by still trying to rubbish us at every opportunity, one would hope he has better things to do! I know our club has.
