Extremely frustrating. Why are we struggling so much at home? It started getting that way towards the end of last season and has continued so far this season. Thank God for our away form. Grrrr......
-
It will be just like saints to go and win this one but my sensible head really can't see us getting annything our of this or the Chelski game to be honest. It's all going horribly wrong again!

Norwich City 0-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction

That was never a pen as the fat ***** fouled Shaw prior to that anyway! Great save Boruc. On such incidents seasons turn. Let's hope that's the catalyst for some improvement in the coming weeks. I too fancy us to get something out of both Liverpool and Chelski...... -
2-1 Norwch I'm afraid to say......Just a feeling like I had last week! Though I sincerely hope the boys prove me wrong and we get ourselves out of that ****e as soon as possible.....
-
Absolutely livid at the moment. A win would have made us as good as safe. Now we're right back in the ****e and I can't see where our points are coming from at the moment. Europe? You must be ****ed Cortese and Pochetinho!......
-
You just knew this was coming today. FFS! Why do we always **** up when we need to the least?................
-
I was bloody worried going into this game and even more so once I saw Shaw was on the bench. We cannot lose today. Defeat will prove extremely costly imho........
-
My sentiments exactly. Take the positives into the Wigan game on Saturday and avenge that defeat earlier in the season and dump them well and truly in the bottom three. Onwards and upwards.
-
My thoughts exactly. If he'd prefer to play for Liverpool then let him go. Why pay over the odds for someone that doesn't actually want to be here. I'm sure MP has a few players in mind that will not only be of the required standard but he knows will be able to play in the style that he wants from the players. Move on now.....
-
Initially shocked and surprised and somewhat dissapointed with the way NC has gone about this as NA is a lovely bloke who's done a lot for this club in a short space of time. However......what's done is done now and we must look forward. The new man looks half decent and NC got the right man in to take us back to the Prem and we have to trust that he has got the right man again to take us to the next level. Could see some very good Spanish and South American players joining us and watching us play in that style.... Let's wait and see what happens. Good luck for the future Nigel.
-
Bloody frustrating ansd that two week break and losing Lallana has certainly done us no bloody good. Need results at Fulham and Stoke now or bottom three by new years day!.........
-
That was the best performance from saints I've seen this season.....just a shame I had to watch it in the QPR end and had to remain mute throughout our three goals.......... Great TEAM performance and what a difference Cork has made to the midfield. Puncheon was superb (well mostly) as was Lallana, Cork, Lambert, Clyne, Shaw. Bit worried about gazza though. I was sat directly in line with the 18yd box at the end they scored and he really should have come and claimed that or sat on his line and made a comfortable save. Still, he's learning and it wouldn't be the same if we made life easy for ourselves would it? Onwards and upwards. An out of sorts Newcastle next then my next game at SMS against an in form canaries.....Four points from those two would be nice.......How much do we regret that Swansea equaliser last week now?
-
Managed to get hold of two QPR season tickets for Saturday from a friend who's sons can't make it. Can't wait. Be hard to keep quiet though..... I think the pressure is all on them and they'll blow it and we'll walk away with all three points. 2-1 Saints............ bye bye Hughes.
-
Handball in the build up and deflection (yet again) for the first, hit the bar, have a clear penalty waved away doesn't help the cause. However, why oh why did NA not take a clearly unfit Ramirez off (for Puncheon) and JRod (for Myuka) as soon as the 2nd goal went in? And why does he persist with Do Prado. He is NOT a PL player. Simple. Clueless..... Thought Clyne looked good tonight though. Can't see us winning a game at the moment. Heart breaking......
-
To be honest if we're going to change managers better do it now so the new man will have plenty of time to sort the team out than after January when it will be too late. Otherwise stick with NA and hopefully come back stronger in the long run. Look at how Everton are doing now after staying loyal to Moyes.......

Shocking, shocking, shocking........ Absolutely gutted at how the season's panning out. Wasting money in the summer on strikers we didn't need and not getting any Premiership standard defenders is costing us massively. I'd rather see Adkins stay for some stability and continuity as I hate this 'we want results and want them right away' thinking that exists in football now. But really, if we are to stay in the Prem we need to act now because leaving it to January will be far far too late and we'll have an even more depressing second half to the season. So cheesed off right now..........
-
Gutted tonight. Not been able to get to a game all season so far due to work and family commitments and when I do finally go we bloody well lose our 100% home record..... For me we seemed to hesitate when we should have shot first time and the final ball, from De Ridder mostly, was always too high or too long. We lacked a little bit of quality tonight which makes the difference between champions and also rans! Not happy with the defending for the goal either. Davis makes two great point blank stops while the defence stand and watch the third shot fly in! Still, we're much better placed than I could have dreamed of in August so onwards and upwards..........
-
Common sense. Well said that man. Couldn't agree more. Though still hacked off at the poor start after having had such high hopes for this season.
-
Having just witnessed that shockingly awaful second half tonight I wouldn't be surprised if Adkins makes a lot of changes. The only player that slightly impressed tonight was Chamberlain. I thought Harding, Hammond, Puncheon & Lambert were a shoadow of themselves last time I saw them. A season that promised soooo much has started to fade faster than my tan after returning from Spain a fortnight ago. I hope Nigel has a magic wand because we're gonna need it before I put my hand in my pocket and watch Saints again.
-
Just back from the game and can scarcely believe that pretty much the same eleven players who kicked MK Dons arse just six months ago put in that performance tonight! First half not so bad but second half was absolutely shocking and poor Nigel Adkins has got a job on his hands to motivate that pathetic lot. What really ****ed me off was that when we went one down there was no urgency to get back into the game. I'm afraid in this current financial climate I won't be putting my hand in my pocket to watch saints again for a long time. It's just no fun at the moment. It's embarrassing. Though I would like to go the return match at SMS when hopefully we've turned things around and we'll see if Leven puts his finger to his mouth in front of us when we're spanking their sorry arses. Being a Saints fan is like being in a perpetual nightmare that shows no sign of abating....... Off to bed very unhappy.

Have you changed your mind about this season?
WGC Saint replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
I was full of optimism at the start of the season and now that has completely gone. As far as I'm concerned NC has completely ruined our prospects this term with the ridiculous dismissal of Pardew. It will take months for the new man to get his team and tactics together by which time we'll be well out of the running....... Very angry! -
Milton back in the 80's when I was a nipper. Always wanted to go to the Archers end but too young to get involved in the many rucks I saw there! Great days though. How we could do with a team and management like that now.......
-
All I know is that the mindless and moronic decision to sack Pards has cost us promotion this season and hence another stay in this **** league for one more season that we need to!
-
The omens were against us before KO. We always lose our first game of the season. We never win on Sky. We never beat Plymouth. Did anyone expect any different outcome today? Our season starts next Saturday at MK Dons where I shall be cheering the boys to victory before going on my holidays. Chins up everyone.
-
That result makes me feel so much better after trecking to St Marys in September to watch them snatch a late win against us on my boys 13th birthday. Gutted about Huddersfield score though. It was looking very good for a short while. Still you never know.... COYR's.
