Please let this be!🙏🤞

My choices: Graham Potter (not sure he’d come) - proven at getting out of the Championship and staying up. Steve Cooper (see above). David Moyes (stop gap only). Outside of that somebody prepared to bravely fight relegation but inevitably take us down with a view to coming straight back upagain and staying up next time. Anyone other than an unknown only ever managed in lower foreign leagues type person. We really need a manager with both Prem and Championship experience now. Failing my first two choices I’d take Harry Potter or Tommy Cooper. Either would do a better job than RM has this season.

Have the players actually given up now?
-
Stopped watching already. That’s that then. Let’s hope RM is gone in the morning at last and we get a manage in who knows how to defend.
-
I’ll have some of whatever you’re drinking/smoking!
-
I’m loving the gallows humour on this thread. Funny but equally sad when we used to be so positive in the days of Adkins, Poch, RK etc. How far we’ve fallen.
-
So in 90mins of football we didn’t have a single shot on target? Fuck me in local Sunday League shit you’d get at least one! Unforgivable. Get the fuck out of of our club Russell now!
-
Sad but true mate. I’m completely numb to it now and don’t care any more. Until RM is gone I can’t be bothered to follow us. It’s painful. Nobody minds losing but do so with some fight and giving it a proper go. We could have had a 0-0 today but once again a complete fuck up at the back has cost us. Every game it’s getting more and more ridiculous and it’s not new as we were doing it last season so in the Championship as well.
-
Oh well. It’ll be 9-1 rather than 9-0. That’s a relief!
-
That team selection has got another 9-0 defeat written all over it. Though can’t see what else we could do in the circumstances. It will be very Saintsy though to get something out of tonight’s game against the odds!
-
Another 9-0 drubbing on the horizon given our injuries and suspensions. Let’s hope Chelsea rest a few and give us half a chance.
-
Fuck VAR and fuck the Premier League.
-
I’ve officially given up now. Don’t give a shit any more and looking forward to the Championship next season.
-
Well what do you know. A quick break with no fannying around and we score. Who’d have thought it?
-
Such a typical Saints goal to give away. Pathetic. Ignore that clown Russel Martin and clear the damn ball!
-
As we’ve heard nothing I’m assuming that he’s sadly still in charge. The people I feel most sorry for are the fans that pay good money to follow Saints week in week out. I used to but gave up a few years ago due to moving so far away and family commitments etc and I can’t even watch us on tv any more as the football RM dishes up just irritates the hell out of me. We limped into the Prem this season and we’ll limp out again. All very depressing.
-
Nail struck on head. Outlines exactly where we’re at. Sad and very true. I feel numb to it all now.
-
Anyone else triple captained Haaland today in their fantasy team?🤣
-
My thoughts exactly. Completely numb to it now and if RM doesn’t go immediately we will go down without so much as a whimper. We’ve fallen so far since those wonderful days of Poch and Koeman.
-
Well that’s that then. I’ve got more chance of winning the lottery this weekend than we have of scoring so that’s the end of our cup run for now. And we’ll gift Ipswich their first three points this weekend in true Saints fashion. Horrid.
-
I can actually see us finishing bottom and setting a new record for lowest points, most goals conceded and fewest scored!
-
With the exception of THB over Stephens I like that line up. Good to see Dibling getting a start. Would love to see him score today. COYS.
-
My god. How far we’ve fallen when Forest fans are thinking that!

Southampton 1-0 Leeds - Saints are Promoted!!

We’ve just got to finish 4th bottom next season and we can build from there. It’s a lovely feeling for the moment and I’ll take it. Ask me again how I feel on New Years Day 2025 and we’ve had half a season back in the top flight. -
I’ll happily swap RM for Kieran McKenna next Christmas when Ipswich are bottom of the Prem and he gets the sack and we’re languishing in mid table of the Championship passing it around in our own half and then giving away the inevitable sloppy goal whilst missing a host of chances at the business end.
