Gotta agree with this. Our boys know Lambert's play so well, it'd be silly to disrupt that. £5m isn't even that much in modern day football. Granted it's a lot for a 30 year old striker who's playing at his highest level so far, but it's not when you consider the ramifications it could have for the team. Plus, we tried to bring in a forward during the summer and we weren't able to - who's to say that wont happen again in January? Having said this there's no way Newcastle are going to give us £5m for him anyway.

You're way off IMO. Clubs don't use the media as a basis for buying players - they have massive scouting networks for that.

Precisely. Information is spread so readily now through mediums like twitter, facebook etc that you hear a lot more about potential transfers these days. In reality, there's no real way to tell what information is reliable and what's unreliable. You think you know what's going on but it turns out you might not have a clue.
