-
Just checked online and nowt about Bristol City away .. only Cov away although strangely I can still book my coach to Reading away .. very useful .. not!! .. any ideas as to what may be happening in this parallel universe? (s/t holder btw- I know its not general sale yet) .. Ta!

your lying Pilchards .. we know your taking it home with you as a memento!!!
-
jees haven't they knocked down their shiity (sorry atmospheric) ground yet and built a shiney new supermarket in its place .. far more useful .. what's that on their shirt ? .. Krappa and Gob****e .. sums em up perfectly
-
Delighted with that .. let the "Rickie" songs begin!!!
-
No beard here I'm afraid .. but the reason they want real ale is because tetleys is ****e .. for revenue purposes alone you don't keep selling a grossly inferior product do you? .. I'm no Alan Sugar but that seems commercial madness! .. I'm not particularly into lager so I can't comment about that but know I have to be pretty desperate to buy bitter inside the stadium .. something I would do much more often if it was much better quality!! .. the club have been told and hopefully are investigating albeit progress appears to be at a snails pace .. I imagine there are contracts to be considered etc .. we live in hope!

would anyone notice the difference?

count me in for a contribution! .. love the idea!! -
Speaking as someone who does a lap of honor when he get the computer to switch on can I just say a big thank you to all the fans who make this site work and for the time and effort taken on our behalf ..... cheque made payable to ..... Thanks!!

you shouldn't be shot down John Boy .. mainly because your right .. nowhere near a consistent 90 min player (far from it) .. pushed off the ball far too easily at times .. with chaplow not playing well either .. well thats your midfield knackered .. yes they CAN both play but not enough even for this league there's also a distinct lack of settled and effective pairings all over the field - ideally you want the centre backs, midfields, left and right side and front two to form a real partnership - one where they almost know the other players next move .. we havent got that anywhere on the pitch at the moment
-
just phoned ticket office at Walsall who confirm there will be a cash admission gate for Saints fans tonight -- see you there!!

It would certainly make half time more interesting wouldn't it!! a great idea

Hi aintforever .. why is the idea bizzare? .. to me it makes perfect logical sense to have the vast majority of the clubs singers in the one end rather than spread all over the place .. what makes the proposal more difficult (although by no means impossible) is that this wasn't done when we moved to St Marys .. as you say the Northam allocation cannot be extended as for bigger games the away team is more likely to fill their allocation and if operationally it was easier to move the away fans the Northam would already be our end rather than the current spectacle of a half filled end - it just doesnt look that good and as noisy as the Northam usually are I believe the noise level could be increased considerably If you told fans of clubs that already have a "kop" that you're going to half the fans in their end and spread the rest around the ground they would call the medics for you - but that is the scenario we have at St Marys - it doesn't work - its time for a change but its got to come from us who want St Marys to have the best atmosphere possible
-
agree with all this .. there may be some that say oh we would never have that at St Marys .. B*ll*cks .. we can and have had great displays as Saints fans and you have others that say Im not going to be told where to sit .. its not about telling anybody to do anything .. this is something we should WANT to do .. its about noise .. about colour .. about passion .. about pride in our club .. facing the away fans and showing them all how much this club means to us.. its about maximum impact rather than having these smaller pockets of singers dotted around the stadium that although they do a great job will never ever be a substitute for a proper end please lets get this rolling!!!!!
-
make sure you sell your ticket to a Saints fan .. with the cup allocation being bigger for away sides the fewer plastic mancs we have inside the better!! .. the atmosphere problem (particularly for the big games) is discussed in the Chapel Kop thread
-
correct .. this club.. our club needs a proper end not the diluted situation that now exists .. Northam do a great job most of the time but when theres big away support the Northam is squeezed and even though the chances are we have a full house we can be outsung by certain teams .. that cant be right! Get one end rocking and it will spread down both sides of the stadium as has been proved by other clubs This should have been nailed down when the stadium was built .. it wasn't and its about bloody time it was sorted.. it should come from us .. it should come from our desire to make the best use of the large numbers who turn up in Red and White ..our desire to give Saints the best support possible If we made the Chapel (for operational purposes) our main end it would be fantastic and we would all be wondering why the hell it took so long for it to happen ... its so bloody obvious!!!!!

Is this the right thread to say I like pussy?

I think we can agree to disagree on this statement jam .. I think our work rate in this and in parts of many other games is dreadful and its a way that so called "lesser teams" can compete (and beat) us .. the phrase mentioned is a good one and very relevant to our team at the moment .. we could be great against Walsall but lack of consistency could prove a massive problem for us come the end of the season .. I really hope not...

Saints throw ins in a nutshell (and generally have been this way for YEARS ... YES YEARS) .. Saints player has the ball on the touchline .. nobody bothered to make space to receive .. eventually somebody saunters over to the by line by which time he is surrounded and outnumbered by the opposition and we lose possession .. no **** Saints .. has anybody heard of work rate, speed of thought? .. its the same in open play .. we take so long to attack that by the time we have stopped passing it backwards and bloody sideways and decided to go forward the opposition are all ready for us .. we don't turn defenders enough - all the play is in front of them and too predictable also the "midfield" line and the the back line are far too close leaving a huge gap between midfield and the forward line = no support for the front men (whoever they are)
