Cemex, which as you say seems to be the last saints operated car park, apart from those actually at the ground. Suspect the club started with the parking they had originally as part of the planning permission negotiation , and are gradually letting it die out. No one else on here parking at Cemex then?
-
I've had an email confirming that I've paid to park again this season, but not received a ticket. Anyone else getting a season parking pass - and if so have you actually received anything?
-
It shows how crap football reporting is. I've seen one report saying West Ham giving up on JWP and another saying they're bidding again -- posted 1 and 2 hours ago, literally next to each other in clickbait.

£45 million including bonus doesn't sound like very much of an increase in Liverpool's offer. Would depend on the conditions for the extra payments. If it's "world cup winner" that's a lot different to "plays 30+ games in a season". Wonder what chelsea might offer.
-
It's a plot by the good clubs who can play the tactic well, to make it fashionable for all clubs, so they get a few easy goals when we cock it up.

Snap. Thanks for the facebook nudge St Neil

Don't know about JWP's wages but mostly the figures quoted in the media for footballers are AFTER tax. Foreign players especially, don't want to bother about British tax law details etc, so the clubs' contracts include them paying taxes for them--- or in Portsmouth's case not paying them ! So the obscene amounts quoted for wages are *really* obscene.

No wonder he gets injured if he leaves his laces like that 😉
-
Thought Walcott was just training with Reading whilst he waited for a proper club offer. But if he is actually prepared to sign for a skint club which presumably will only pay relative peanuts, why shouldn't we give him another year at a few quid more than peanuts but a lot less than he was getting before? He looked OK for us in the latter part of last season, and is reportedly a good influence on younger players.
-
He's a better player than Hojberg and he was good enough for spurs. They're not even a really top club Don't understand the constant running down of JWP on here.

Like buying a saints season ticket? 😉
-
Common sense says that it is a 20% sell on OR a £ 40 million buy back. If the 20% applied to the 40 million , why call it 40? It would be 32

You see, that was completely believable till you got to the bit about Land Rover Discoveries. Full fat Range Rovers or Land Rover Defenders maybe, high end Porsches more likely. These pillocks have been earning an average of around £3million a year in the Premier league!
-
Nore the "really" If it's just about compensation, surely we go ahead then let the lawyers argue about it afterwards?
-
Whatever the reason for the delay, this is the weirdest appointment process for a new manager at any club that I can remember. I know about the compensation argument etc, but really ...... What the hell is going on?!
-
Will the numbers be ok on the back with these stripes, or is there a plain panel for the number?
-
"A number of changes..." sounds to me to be code for...... "car parking is a real hassle and makes us bugger all profit so we're winding down as much as possible. We only do it because it was part of the initial planning permission application." But maybe I'm too cynical. We park in Cemex and have renewed already. It is not a big car park so I see little chance of others getting tickets I'm afraid. What happened to the large number of spaces at the school over the footbridge? I'd have thought any school would be delighted to have that income.

Bella-kotchap's a full German international at 21 (ish?) . Of course he's worth that much in today's market.

Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
Ken Tone replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Renewed over the phone just now. Very efficient. Even managed to renew car parking ticket, which I think is the first time they've had parking ready at the same time as seats. Looking forward to the championship. Less dominated by huge amounts of foreign money (albeit not completely free of it!) so a bit more of a level playing field. -
Seems to me that the most likely scenario is that after the probable departures we'll still have a couple of acceptable centre backs and full backs, wingers/wide midfielders and maybe one or two vaguely acceptable (by championship level) strikers. But central midfielders will be the major priority if we do lose JWP and Lavia.
-
Nice touch here. JWP kicked a ball into thr face of a young fan as he practised before kolick off. He turned went into thr cried to see the lad was ok, hugged him and gave him the ball. Then later steward got jwp to sign.

Have to hope the youngsters will come on as strikers
-
The trouble with this sort of play is that it risks a monumental cock up, with eg an attacker latching on to a badly placed pass between defenders. The main tactical change I've seen from Selles has been to get the keeper to pass to a centre back who passes it back again etc. Fills me with fear every time!

Of course I'll renew. I support saints. Quite enjoyed the lower leagues last time. Too many on here seem to have only seen us in the Premier League. There is life elsewhere! -
Doesn't hurt as much as last time Have become disillusioned with the premier league anyway. It's just a showcase for super rich foreigners (and even foreign governments) to display their latest set of ludicrously overpaid mercenaries with no loyalty to a club or city/area. As long as we don't go bust again, I'm actually quite looking forward to the championship. And as others have said I hope we will see some home grown youngsters coming through.
