  1. Maybe get a better deal if you wait for the fire sale? 😉
  2. Anyone know if saints have had to evacuate offices and ticket office? Would be a big indicator of likelihood of game being postponed.
  3. Nothing apart from upsetting those of us who currently sit in the Kingsland/Chapel corner!
  4. And for cup games with a big away allocation , will they move home fans out of block 29? I also sit in 29. Am really pissed off!
  5. This plan will disrupt *all* the family stand, plus several blocks of the Kingsland ... both the ones that will actually be used by away fans and those occupied by old codgers like me who will find ourselves right next to away fans , and will therefore want to move elsewhere, losing contact with other ST holders I've sat near for years. Similarly quite a few Chapel ST holders will be unhappy to be next to the abuse of away fans. Then there will be further disruption for fans moving in/out of Northam and Itchen North. In effect maybe a third (?) of fans will be moving. Also many of us will have to find new routes to/from the ground. St Mary's was obviously built with the expectation that the Chapel would be the main home end. Why can't the safe standing be introduced there? Again some fans would need to move , but not as many, and the away fans could stay where they are.
  6. Thanks. Should have said Manning!
  7. (Sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread) What's the verdict on our penalty claims? Anyone seen replays? Handball in their area first half? Did Adam Armstrong dive? Did the ref play advantage when their defender handled the ball on the ground before we scored.... or just not see it?
  8. Ditto. I'd be happy with a narrow defeat. Does the time spent retrieving the ball from the back of our net count towards possession statistics? 😉
  9. Am I right in thinking this isn't on any TV channel --- and because it's Cup not league, the club can't offer live coverage for a tenner? So it's dodgy stream, if available, or nothing?
  10. I'd happily have him in our team but we couldn't afford Broja's wages when we were in the Premier league, so I can't see how we could do so now .....or indeed probably even if we get promoted.
  11. 20 more, 20 more without losing .....
  12. Quite. Keeps away fans access to/from the ground as now, and right by police surveillance. Also allows those fans who enjoy shouting abuse at away fans to stand next to them at that side of the Northam, with others directly behind the goal or towards the Kingsland. Would disrupt fewer ST holders than moving the family stand and presumably then having to introduce empty segregation areas in the Kingsland and Chapel End. Yes some hospitality boxes would be affected, but not that many -- and some of those are used by away fans at some games anyway.
  13. Well I'd take Broja in a swap --- if they paid some of his wages! KWP is outstanding IMO We shouldn't take anything less than 30. Ask for 40
  14. A lot of long-term season ticket holders will be really upset about having to move seats. Many of us have been sitting near the same group of other fans for years. Putting away fans in the current family stand will mean those fans that like to sit near away fans will move into the Kingsland and the Chapel, and completely change the nature of those areas, as well as disrupting the family stand itself. St Mary's *was* set up for a whole home end .....The Chapel... but fans chose to go to the Northam to be by the away fans.
  15. Looks like Forest and Everton again!) are at risk of being charged with breaching the rules soon. And Wolves are supposedly sailing close to the wind too. Plus side is it now stops filthy rich buyer spending huge sums beyond the club's income. Minus side, it was introduced too late to easily stop eg Chelsea and Man City doing that. So those clubs that have bought success have effectively drawn up the ladder behind them, to stop others doing the same. Of course City are facing charges but delaying everything.
  16. That one works thanks 👏-- apart from being muted.
  17. So wayne-rooney's-birmingham-city will have to find a new name !😉
  18. Never mind Martin's reaction to Sunak's visit..... we were pissed off because the car parks and roads next to the stadium were closed off for half an hour for him to leave. All the roads, because no one told the stewards which route he was taking. There were some fairly strong 'political' comments made in the queue of cars near us! '😉 Not had this delay when he's been before.
  19. Somebody explain the formation olease
  20. To be fair QPR made it hard work
  21. Setting your sights a bit low---- we only need to win by 11 goals to go clear third 😉
  22. Thought you said you weren't going to the match? Cardiff were up for it. We were just better!
  23. Foggy and still below zero here, about 30 miles North of Southampton. What are conditions like in the city? Just about to set off. If it's foggy there too, looking forward to chants of "Chapel End what's the score?" from the Northam 😉
  24. In a dream window we'd sign Downes and Harwood-Bellis permanently, keep KWP, and sign a striker to replace Adams who seems to have completely lost form (since the summer window closed 😉) And Stewart would finally be fully fit. But in reality we'll probably send a few youngsters out on loan, sell Adams and do little else, after lots of scares about KWP and Bazunu.
