Redknapp in early December...... New Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp claims he may not enter the transfer market in January if the club are still stranded at the foot of the Premier League. QPR remain in search of their first league win of the season after the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in Redknapp's first home game in charge. "If you are still adrift in January what is the point?" he said. "If that was the case I would advise the owners not to spend their money" Remind me again...where are QPR in the table? Why do owners let him do this? And I bet he and Rosie are getting some sort of 'commission' on every deal.

I see the swear filter does not allow me to use the diminutive form of Richard. Rather spoilt my allusion to pantomime!

Don't be silly -- **** Whittington and Andy Awful are doing a fantastic job. Now Maradona to sign as a player because he's heard so much about the passion of the fans -- that's a much more credible story!

Not seen anything for the second half only, but looking at the difference between Sky's stats and the BBC's for the game as a whole, it makes you wonder if these figures mean anything at all anyway. BBC - 50% possession. Sky - 57% Saints

Well , in the highly unlikely case that this was true, "when Laws successfully filed a restraining order against Adkins" would be amatter of public record . I have a suspicion that some journalist somewhere might just have mentioned this at some point!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/9836811/Portsmouth-Football-Club-court-case-set-to-be-adjourned-for-a-third-time.html I can't wait to see Neil Allen try and put a postive spin on that!

Who knows? By the time anyone has finished looking that up, the team will have changed again anyway.

Too right. I visit relatives in Manchester fairly often. Trying to come home after a Man u match is anightmare. Not only is the A56/A556 choc a block ,but even the M6 is busier than usual right down to near Stoke. How their fans get home to Surrey by bed time is beyond me

In the old days you could usually find somewhere in Trafford Park, which is a massive industrial estate, but even then lots of the firms there were makng a few bob out of charging. You might be lucky if you go early enough and find a single yellow area, given it is an evening match. There are indeed spaces in or near the Lowry as Mikey says, but bear in mind there will be c 70,000 fans with the same idea. Personally I'd park near a station in a suburb, such as Sale, and go in on the Metro. I once did that on the old train line before it was converted to trams, wearing my scarf. Frankly I would not recommend that approach! Best station to get off at is Warwick Road.

He would be wise to continue to 'not understand English' for quite a while yet. Using an interpreter gives him time to think of a diplomatic answer, or to pretend to misunderstand, or even to completely avoid, a tricky question. It gives him a protective layer between him and the media, especially if any hack is trying to trip him up. In fact I can think of a few occasions when I've dealt with the media, and would quite have liked an interpreter slowing me down, rather than shoooting my mouth off immediately!

I was shocked when I realised that these are still being 'honoured' this season. Surely the current club is a different legal entity to the one that sold Westwood and his chums their lifelong season tickets? Why does PFC 2011(?) accept tickets issued by PFC 1990 or whatever version of the club it was that existed when they sold these tickets? It's a different business.

It would only be cannibalism if they ate it. The origin of the term suggests other uses

The latter. Just to set a date. Nothing to see here.

Used to live near Wigan many years ago, when they were a 3th or 4th division club with a ground that made Fratton Park look like Wembley. Hard to adjust to them being a fairly well-established premier league club (Well, up to this year of course!) Wigan is historically a rubgy league town, not a football one, and only a small place anyway with lots of other football clubs locally competing for fans. If ever there was a genuine case of "your ground's too big for you", it's Wigan.

I can't even remember my old user name from Saints Forever days, but I do remember that you were a good source of info back then Minty .... reporting who you'd seen flying in/out of the airport often gave us the first clues on team or transfer news

Argentina upping the ante on the Falklands....

Only a matter of time before Kerchner goes to the UN claiming that it was sabotage by the British (It happend to us once btw. ..http://www.royalnavalmuseum.org/info_sheet_RoyalGeorge.htm , albeit about 230 years ago!) -
the rule is that you can't start 2 consecutive seasons in administration. Unlike the examples you cite above , portsmouth started this season in administration. The examples you give simply show that once again portsmouth have been leniently treated, in that the -10 they are about to get should have been more.

S****horpe is basically a div 4 (with ocasaional visits to div 3) club in 'old money'. Adkins worked miracles in getting them to the championship twice, and keeping them there once.

He deserves a bigger club than Huddersfield. Can't stand Leeds fans and would be sorry to see him go there in many respects, but he ought to get a team of that size. Championship, but with potential to be established prem.

Quite right, but Hazard does not deserve an extraordinarily long suspension. Some pundits have been comparing this to Cantona's kicking a spectator and suggesting Hazard should be suspended for a similar period .. was it 8 games? IMO, this was not as serious an incident. Ball 'boy' was being deliberately obstructive to waste time and Hazard reacted as he would have done if it had been an opposition player holding the ball, trying to kick the ball from him , and not being careful about whether he kicked ball or the man. Cantona made a deliberate lunge -- 2 footed as I recall ! Red card yes, but only a normal suspension.

Try and catch the norovirus before you go, so as to build up immunity for the trip itself?

Do you work for the pompey supporter's trust ?

Unfortunately , apart from gender, the description for me also fits my wife!

If we were looking to buy, SRL, Jason and Morgan now?

Nowadays , all fees for players are hugely affected by a) how much time is left onther current contract, and b) how much they currently earn So really the fees for these, or any other player, could vary by several £million depending on a) and b)
