  1. From saints email -------- .Please note: Blocks 29-39 will be closed initially and open subject to demand. If your regular seat is within these blocks it will not be reserved, but you can select any other available seat. - - - - So yet again the biggest stand, with I suspect the largest number of season ticket holders, isn't available 'initially' . We're expected to buy seats in the wrong stand, away from our usual neighbours, and if enough of us do, they'll let other people buy our seats instead! They just don't understand what ordinary fans want do they?
  2. Do we not have some sort of insurance to cover this?
  3. Given Downes got booked yet again last night, it's only a matter of time till he's suspended injured again, leaving only big Les as a defensive midfielder . (Don't really see Aribo as DM Charles is the obvious back up and/or alternative. And he played as CB and even RB for us so can cover lots of positions. Clearly we're doomed to relegation this season, but we can improve and regain some confidence as last night showed - and there's a cup run possible.
  4. Well as you say, it won't be! If it was 10mill, I'd say no if he still has a long contract.
  5. Think the rumour is more that Sheffield united want to buy him, not loan. ..... which would be a major mistake IMO.
  6. I think juric has already said he should go out on loan to get game time. I really feel he should have been given more of a chance here this season. As it is, maybe a loan will do him good
  7. What I can't understand is why he's left it so late to take any action. Let's face it, we could appoint a mixture of Clark Kent, Alec Ferguson and Pep Guardiola as DoF now and we'll still be going down , quite possibly with a record low points total.
  8. The pricing is disappointing, but closing the Kingsland....the biggest stand which is also where many ST holders go..... is a bigger mistake IMO. I am going , but it nearly put me off, sitting away from my usual neighbours and having to walk further round the ground etc.
  9. I wasn't expecting any contracts to be cancelled. Legally tricky! I was referring to sending out players on loan, to lower league clubs of course, with the incentive to the player being to actually play, and put themselves in the shop window -- or even prove themselves worthy of a recall to saints next season.
  10. If it were down to me, I'd try to offload as many of the also- rans from the squad, bring back Shea Charles, and try to sign a striker that actually scores. It's very unlikely that any striker who's successful in England will want to come to us for a relegation, but one from abroad might want to, to show they can do it in the Premier league and hope to be signed by another PL club in the summer. That will be a risk of course because success abroad doesn't guarantee success here but we don't have much choice unless we just give up.
  11. Surely we have to recall Charles to cover defensive midfield?
  12. Looks quite an attacking team, but 3 full backs and a CB on the bench. Plan to score early and then hang on grimly? πŸ˜‰
  13. Read somewhere we were getting another player along with Welington -- a winger/forward? Anyone know any details? (Btw Welington spells his name with only 1 L.)

    Ivan Juric

Does anyone know how good Juric's English is? Presumably, as a Croat, he was managing in Italy in his second language. Is his English fluent too? Although, on second thoughts, all he needs is to be able to shout "just bloody clear it", "no, pass it forwards" and probably "oh no, not again!" 😏
  15. You'd probably find that if 1984 was read more widely, people would accuse Orwell of plagiarism in using the term Big Brother πŸ˜‰πŸ˜±
  16. I think the first question is, will there be any wins? 😱
  17. Pity about the umlaut in RΓΆhl making it closer to 'rerle' than 'roll' but hey, I'll go with it πŸ˜‰
  18. Has anyone seen any even vague details of this expansion plan? Most of the publicity I've seen seems to be about developing the area Anything on stadium capacity?
  19. I don't think they'll sack him now, battering or no battering. The reasonable time to sack him was about 4 or 5 games ago. Looks to me like they've decided he'll lead us back out of the championship, and they'll only sack him if we start next season badly. Depressing ain't it!
  20. In the Sunday Times today, Martin Samuel (admittedly a bit of a pillock) says it cost United Β£21.4 million to sack ten Hag and his staff......and that the cost would end up being by the fans in increased ticket prices.
  21. What we really need is a few more full backs πŸ˜‰
  22. I'm honestly beginning to believe that they're content to be relegated this year, taking money from being in the Premier, selling off a few more players, then thinking they can use those profits and parachute payments to bounce back up again. Of course life rarely works out how you want. And football hardly ever does! As to us fans having to watch this .....tough!😑😱
  23. Not a popular view on here I know, but I still think Shea Charles is the long term answer as partner/ cover. I certainly don't think Les is any better than him and I wonder how their wages compare, with a loan fee etc as well?
  24. But Taylor not even on the bench. You can never have enough left backsπŸ˜‰
  25. Feels like Martin is just frantically trying random selections in the hope something will click. No plan, no consistency
