Everyone is trying to copy the Man City way but haven't got the players to achieve it. then we look ridiculous passing the ball around to no purpose other than infuriating the crowd. its a very boring style. RM still calls it 'fun' but I haven't seen the funny side yet.
-
What does this term 'being brave' even mean? I heard it a dozen times on the Radio Solent broadcast last Saturday. To me, its one of the annoying expressions that have crept in to the modern game
-
We may be 'looking to move them on' but its easier said than done, we may find we just keep looking
-
That's a depressing list of tired and well worn names. I agree we want experience but that old merry go round is not the place because we also want some dash and drive, oh for a Poch or a Koeman. Why is Potter not likely?
-
And the manager doesn't value experience either, that's why leaves Lallana on the bench
-
There's not much wrong with the squad that a Premier quality coach would not put right, but we chose one from a lower league, and it shows.
-
True we signed an overload but there is enough quality for a good coach to develop. Under this fellow they are all under performing which makes talented players look ordinary. Its possible for a good manager to make ordinary players look talented. We haven't seen that since Poch
-
Fraser, who had been sent off --crazy sub anyway
-
This is what Newcastle thought when they gave Shearer the job when it was already a lost cause and they got relegated. We need an experienced manager, not a beginner. Ex players, even very popular ones--Lampard, Rooney, and that Liverpool guy are failed examples.
-
Bottom, with one point after 8 games. It's self evident we need a change of direction, and of leadership to make the change. The trouble is, if the manager is sacked--yet again--it reveals the utter incompetence of those whose job it was to make the appointment. When will they chose someone with Premier League know how? Moyes and Potter are free.
-
He was only on 11 minutes...responsible for two goals and then left us with ten men, oh dear.
-
Can anyone explain why we used the full allowance of subs, and Lallana was still on the bench?
-
Don't think the summer signings were shocking. We've got some very good additions, just a coach who is incapable of using their talent.
-
Yes, and he got relegated
-
It leaves me dumb. Wonder what the players feel like.
-
With all those subs coming onand just messing us up, why was lallana still on the bench, the one player who could calm it all down. Think RM is probably in awe of him, he knows more about the game than the guy trying to manage. Why prefer Smallbone and Fraser to him/
-
Fixed systems to which players must fit will always be a poor option. The skilled coach is the one who liberates talent. We should know--compare Branfoot keeping Le Tizz on the bench and Bally revealing a world beater.

Lallana is still a favourite of mine and his form this season has surprised me, I hope plays more minutes week in week out. But manager? No no. We need a top figure with a load of management experience who will have players and fans respect immediately. We've messed about with lower league gambles too much. Lallana to be his assistant when his playing days end Yes yes
-
Over the top? That's out of date, that's Sunday stuff. You can play six or eight short passes to each other, that's what we pay to see. Goals? Well we've got three in the first seven matches but we're winning on passes made. so that's alright.
-
Just forget him
-
Perhaps Wilcox would like him at Man Utd, they will need someone any day now.

Last time we came up it was with Adkins who had done brilliantly with double promotions but how long did he last in Premier Lg? Was it ten games before Cortese gave him the push and introduced Poch. There was outrage from fans but it was the right thing --where is the new Poch and who has the nerve of Cortese to do it?
-
And Markus came with Cortese, couldn't have one without the other. Fans turned on NC and we lost the man who drove it all. Yes, we miss the days when the pair of them showed passion and daily involvement and brought the results.

Its just not true that we have a squad of uninterested and low confidence Championship players. They are underperforming, certainly but that is where good managers and coaches are at their best. The squad is young-mostly- with a career to shape. The ownership is ready to invest. A manager is more likely to want a Club with potential than a Club at the top,. And Moyes knows that better than most. Anyway, he wouldn't be my first choice, Potter is.
-
True! We should be performing better than we are. There was heavy investment in the summer, more than for many years. And some of the new signings like the Suga guy and Lesley Ogu could be Premier quality alongside Ramsdale, Dibling, and probably Fernandes and KWP (where is he?) . We have the makings of a Premier squad but it needs a Premier quality manager to develop it. And that we have not got. Come on SR, don't let your investment be wasted.
