  1. The last game at Leicester they looked as if they were strangers who hadn't played together before. Some say that's because of chopping and changing, others say the manager is too stubborn and won't adapt. Who'd be a manager? Easier to be a critic, especially with hindsight.
  2. We've produced LBs for fun Bale, Bridges, Shaw what went wrong?
  3. its really to be hoped we don't go up, next year in the Premier Lg would destroy us, it would be tonight over and over again, a Sheff Utd repeat. We played tonight at walking pace, they looked like they had never seen each other before
  4. Yep, we may yet win the play offs but if we do, oh dear, we will be mince meat in the Premier Lg at least there is hope in the Championship
  5. That's the top and bottom of it one to stop it going in and one to put it in---that's all we need--simple!
  6. Jo is better than I expected. He and Adam make a good team, they suffer anxiety same as I do which helps me identify with them but I will always miss Dave M
  7. Yes, criticism of Mane was relentless 'anyone want him, I'll drive him there' and comments like that. Fans expect every new player to be the finished article. We are all 'work in progress'
  8. Quite right. We are in the hunt for second place and I'm more than happy with that. Last night was terrible and such a shock after recent form, but 'don't panic' some lessons will have been learnt and no reason to think it was more than a blip. WBA had better look out!
  9. You're too pessimistic. We are building a squad and a style and both should improve by next season, do cheer up and enjoy the ride
  10. Remember the games under Puel 0-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-1 etc
  11. Is this meant to be funny?
  12. I guess he hasn't really settled here, doesn't speak the language well so life must be difficult. then you don't reach top form, he has talent and is capable of more --good luck to him!
  13. Exactly right...we are 20 unbeaten, second in the table, what more to make a fan happy?
  14. Who have we had on loan for four years?
  15. Cortese oversaw some great years following the disastrous years. We owe him a lot
  16. They were a pathetic joke, felt sorry for them. Must admit I hope their success continues, they deserve it and good for the South coast. Eastleigh next up!
  17. What happened to him? Yes, I remember he was dynamic, blond bombshell What happened?
  18. Ings? Give it a rest. We're no longer looking for yesterday's men.
  19. Happy Christmas to you too
  20. Quite right! And one more thing--its a long time since we'ver seen JS play, he's had a load of Premier experience since then, I am happy we now have three centre backs of quality and a fourth in the bacckground
  21. Alternating? No thank you--recipe for disaster. We've got a settled pair let them stay settled.
  22. Its the boring style which upsets me. Saints have always been an attacking team, we've always had goalscorers from Charlie Wayman until now, but its now so predictable, crab football, sideways and back over and over. No one to make a defence frightened, just so leisurely, I'll swear I've seen people fall asleep
  23. Boring, just boring. First time I find myself looking at my watch, not in excitement 'how long to go', but just hoping its nearly over
  24. Yes it is boring. I wonder what Mick Channon would make of this sort of play. Why doesn't anyone run at defences now? There is no excitement in crab football and nothing to put fear into any defence
  25. Gary Sprake was for years better known for his catastrophic errors, even throwing the ball in his own net I seem to remember
