If Darren Bent was worth £16.5m (I think) then Campbell is worth £5m. Just shows how overly priced English players are.

Shame he's retired, but ever since 2005 he has really struggled and never got back to his best. Tbh I think his batting is a bit of a liabilty, as shown with him averaging about 28 with the bat since 2005.

Erm sorry if I'm wrong, but didn't DMG play every game last season?!?! So shouldn't he be scoring more goals, oh and weren't 3 of them penalties? Whilst Saga played at least half of them, so you can't compare that. What we can compare is Saga's goal scoring run when we got into the play offs, DMG barely scored that amount of goals all season! I would also like to argue that maybe DMG only started making an effort at the end of the season, maybe to put himself in the shop window?!?! (much like people have said Saga did so he could earn a contract).

I'm sorry but how can you say that DMG delievered more than Saga? When Saga put in effort he ran his absolute a** off for the team. DMG used to do sweet FA stand around and moan. DMG's attitude has to be one of the worst I have ever seen for a so called professional footballer and surely if Saga was that bad why would he play in the Champions League and for the Polish national side?

DMG the real loss?!? I agree with many people who say that Saga looks like he can't be bothered half the time, but he used to put in 10 times the effort DMG ever put in, in his whole Saints career.

That has to be one the most stupid comments that I have ever read on this forum. In our play off season he was amazing, just look at his goal scoring record. When he came back in January he looked like another class compared to the rest of our players (when he could be bothered).

As far as I see it anybody who goes into football looking to make a profit is an idiot, especially in this day and age. If you were buying a non league club and managed to promote it up through the leagues, this is the only way that I can possible see you will make a profit. Even if he does make a profit surely it is going to be marginal compared to what he already is earning and so to me this theory that he is looking to make a profit is incorrect. I'm guessing therefore his motives is for him to own a successful top team and gain further exposure through this, with us being the cheapest way for him to do so rather than buying an already established club (or just the fact that it is fashionable to own a club).

Wotton is the nearest we have to a good leader. Also maybe Gillet a few years down the line, only problem is I don't think he is that vocal.

Swann and Broad let me down big style! I'm glad I chose Haddin over Prior in the end.

Collingwood, Monty, Anderson and Swann to a certain extent showed the grit and determination which makes me proud to be English. We were utterly awful and outplayed for most of the match and yet we still come through with a draw.......... what a superb match, bring on the rest of the series!!
