  1. This puts everything in context. I am so sorry to hear this and wish you and your wife all the love and best wishes possible.
  2. No, but remember, in the future when they spout his poor shot stopping statistics, the fact Leicester scored from the majority of attempts must mean he is shit. This match polarises why blaming the keeper has been totally wrong. The players in front of him have consistently let him down and exposed him to mostly unstoppable shots. Even then he sometimes manages to pull off a save. But he has become the scapegoat for our slide down to the championship. Complete unfounded and actually unfair. There are many other issues need resolving in the team such as learning how to defend as a unit, all taking personal responsibility for not allowing the opposite to shoot or block it, and certainly stop a f*#king cross one in a while, Jesus.
  3. The issue with the rules of football, and the offside rule in particular, is that the governing bodies have continually tried to over complicate the rules. It is now difficult for the players, officials and fans to interpret these rules. The rule should be that, if a player is further forward than more than 1 player of the opposite team they are offside, irrespective of this rubbish about “interfering with play”. The linesman now has to try to determine multiple factors when deciding whether to put the flag up. This is the problem with football. All other sports have strict rules with limited variants, making it so much easier to officiate.
  4. It would be useful to see how many shots against and the passes in final third for better context
  5. This sums it up for me. Even the goal being claimed to be a howler, actually wasn’t. It was a very well hit shot, and he managed to get a hand too, in a very similar way to Onana yesterday against Rice. Sometimes the goalie can get in the way of a shot and it still go in. Look at Patterson’s flukey ricochet in the second half. If this has been Bazunu it would have been called terrible keeping. The modern approach, especially using social media/ forums is to be extremely harsh as the other person cannot see you, when in real life you’d be a little more sensitive to the body language (reaction from the other party). Bazunu is certainly not deliberately making mistakes but is being exposed to far more clear cut chances than most other keepers over the last 15 months. Let’s have a bit of patience and sort out the teams defensive approach and then judge.
  6. Exactly the team I would play. Charles was the biggest miss yesterday, we need him covering the centre allowing the wing backs and Alcaraz to get forward.
  7. I think it was more likely a calf strain, or ligament damage to the calf/ ankle.
  8. When was the “cocking about with it” event(s) in the game yesterday. He actually seemed to be much more assured and not messing about with the ball yesterday, unlike both our centre backs who got away with at least a couple each where Plymouth nearly nicked the ball.
  9. Unfortunately, as you say KWP leaves Hardie, but it appears to be premeditated, I think to be taken up by Bernarek, as he enters his “zone” but Bednarek is ball watching and just allows him to get across him and knock it in the goal.
  10. It absolutely was. His anticipation and desire to get in position or to block shots is woeful. He was responsible for at least 2 of the goals last week. Everyone talking about CB replacements seems to have a blind spot for how poor he is. He must be replaced if we are to achieve promotion.
