  1. Buctootim: Both the UK and France have a permanent naval presence in the area so your comment that we sleepily rocked up weeks later is a load of bollocks. Yes you are correct that a French warship downed drones while our ship to do so wasn't there, however that was due to the overlap relieving the ship already on station . I still stand by my previous comments, the UK and US are the ONLY countries to directly take on the rebels and the navies of the other participants are there primarily to protect their OWN assets as they do not want to get involved further in the conflict. If these undeniable facts make me a joke in your eyes, so be it. Sadoldgit: You are absolutely right, De Gaulle has been dead over 50 years, the EU has evolved greatly from the days of the EEC and the world has moved on greatly. You will no doubt disagree with me but I don't think however that the European perception of the UK has changed much over that time Fan the flames : Are you pissed or something ? For God's sake have an adult argument with me like the others of you don't agree with my comments, rather than resorting to infantile dittys most people leave behind in the playground.
  2. That's why I used the word "helped".
  3. Absolutely, especially friends who spend their alloted GDP percentage on defence ,willing to stick their necks out and happy to get their hands dirty. I'm other news, the UK and US are the only countries that are proactive in protecting international shipping in the Red sea. Rightly or wrongly we have targeted the strongholds of the rebels and spend 1 million a pop on missiles to shoot down agressive drones. The few other countries that have warships in the area are there to protect their " own assets ". Yet another example of letting us and the US do their dirty work for them.
  4. Would that be Brexit from the very same EU that the former president of France, Charles De Gaulle swore to prevent the UK from joining during his lifetime by any chance ? Fine gratitude from the leader of a country that Britain helped liberate from the last lot of conscipted, alcoholic thugs that threatened Europe. Surely the irony of that would not be lost, even to a person such as yourself ?

    Russia

Not a problem for them then, crack on.
  6. Settling for the 1-0 by the looks of it, will no doubt pay for it.

    Russia

On the plus side the EU want to embrace their British friends into the military fold as they're shit scared of Russia, Trump's giving bad vibes and we have nukes. Fuck off, you've shown your true colours.
  8. I am afraid we are just a little tadpole in a stinking great pond, just the way of the world.
  9. We haven't got a target man, haven't really since Ings left and when we did try to rectify that we bought a crock. It's playoffs for us, been saying it for a while. Been a great run but altimately we are likely to fall slightly short.
  10. I meant generally, not specifically.
  11. Could easily be rectified with less needless passes back to him.
  12. At the end of the day the UK is probably the most difficult country ( in Europe) for Russia to attack conventionally, and we have our own nukes. Continental Europe have far more to worry about.
  13. Posted at HT that I have for a while considered that it's playoffs for us . Still reckon that's the case. However isn't it great to experience games like that rather than trying to eke out narrow wins against fellow dross in the PL. We really shouldn't set our aspirations to go back to that. Finally full marks to the manager for the subs today ( albeit some enforced) , Brooks, Edozee and Mara , in my opinion will be key for the rest of the season.
  14. Said playoffs for us a long time back, not changed my mind .
  15. Here's one for you,but far more subtle. Pregnant Irish girl phones home. Girl . Mudder I tink ma waters ave broke. Mum. Holy sweet mudder of jaysus, where you ringing from ? Girl . I'm wringing from me fanny to me fooking ankles !
  16. Oh no, we've upset them with a few quotes about whippets, ferrets and pigeons. For a lot that always bat on on about being tough op north, they have very thin skins.
  17. Yeah, let's stuff these know-it-all, ferret fiddlers.
  18. Just rejoice and be grateful that our little club will play some part in the final English season of the greatest and most popular ever football manager.
  19. We might sign that clinical finisher in the next window.
  20. Great idea. Now the fleet is safely still bouyant, the answers to all these pictures can now be revealed for the benefit of us thickos.
  21. Can't help thinking that the lack of a creditable target man is going to cost us this season, just as it did last.
  22. Too late on both counts.
  23. Not going to make the difference between getting an automatic promotion or the playoffs IMO.
  24. Exactly, could have won comfortably with the first eleven, saved an extra game and still gave game time to some of the youngsters towards the end.
  25. Waiting for Watford to go two up first.
