What a fantastic night - really enjoyed it. Some hilarious moments and some spine tingling nostalgic stuff. Brynn was hilarious!! He stole the show!.. Mike didn't have a clue what Brynn was going to come out with next! For an unscripted show I thought it ran very smoothly. Did anybody else notice that Mike said he'd go back to the Keegan overhead goal-that never-was to discuss, unfortunately it didn't get raised again - to this day I still don't know why Keegan's goal was disallowed.... Well done to all those involved - a very memorable night indeed. :-)

I'm hoping it'll be more of a celebration of the greats in our history, and a look back on things rather than a dig at the current regime...

Not long now until the night out, looking forward to it. Buffalo Bills for some grub then over the road to watch the 'show' :-)

Thanks for this info guys - I didn't know anything about this special invitation dinner. Sounds like NC really is very committed to doing what is best for Saints in the long term. The snippets of info are very encouraging, and explains a bit more about NC as a person - most of the negative press is due to him not liking the press I guess, and due to his silence on many issues this does cause a lot of speculation on all sorts of subjects etc I guess we'll have to get used to his silence and let him get on with things.... he'll be here for the long term! I particurlarly like the comment he made to ML about the Champions League!! :-)

hehe the No.24, when he came on as sub the Farnborough announcer said over the tannoy: "Coming on for Farnborough No.24... unknown player"!!! Maybe a last minute trialist for them!?

I went last night... quite a good turnout by the Saints I thought - probably a 50/50 crowd! Was basically a fitness excersise and it showed! Bit scrappy and the midfield was weak (although we knew that when team was announced). Without giving more ratings on all the players, I just thought I'd say my standout players.... Bart was confident and assured, he seems to look lean & mean these days! Certainly lost a bit of weight. Martin was very vocal and won everything in the air, Butterfield did well, good defender, you can tell he's got some quality about him (didn't realise he was such a short @rse!). McGlashen bags of pace, and good skills but sometimes ran into blind alleys. Barnard did well, worked hard and seems to be everywhere and didn't give the ball away. Connelly was pretty anonimous. McNish was pretty poor, I was sitting right by the dugout and all I could hear was the coach shouting at him to do things! Credit to Farnborough, I think they will do well in Conference South, the ground has also seen a lot of improvement in the last year or so.

Also I'd like to add they have a big car park by the ground, which is handy! (cant' be @rsed to walk to it from my house!) I'll be christening my new Saints sash shirt!! :-)

I wouldn't worry about paying in advance (if you even can!). I always pay on the gate when we have this fixture. Plus they fact they need the coffers for their new stand!
