He played OK,he got involved , he worked hard, he's not a world beater, some good stuff mixed with bad. He scored an 87th winner away from home ..what's not to like.

Great day up here. My 11 year and his mate singing on the walk back to the coach ....owning Ipswich.
-
Jack Grealish spent a few seasons in the Championship with Villa. Did him no harm. Same as Lallana for us back in the day.
-
Going by his performance against West Ham and compare it to Armstrongs performance who would you want to start?
-
Exactly. A mediocre player. But we went down playing ABK whilst he was loaned to Bournemouth . Got more points per game last season when he played. Sometimes these sort of players add a certain something to the team that managers and fellow players see but many fans dont...in my humble opinion.

Sorry to be the pedant but schizophrenic is the wrong use of word. Schizophrenics don't have a split personality or a contractitory nature. They suffer with auditory and visual hallucinations and paranoid thoughts.

You genuinely sound gutted we won mate.

Never unstood why people get so het up on forums. Express your views ...Russ out ..Russ in...hate Russ...love Russ....or general non concern. If fellow posters disagree with you and are unable to express their opposing view cordially..Just ignore and move on. I guess people actually enjoy this sort of thing....

Although I very much agree that this season has been a pretty miserable affair and there are many things regarding the Premier League that depress the hell out me ...huge gulf in club finances , random kick off times , the endless hype and coverage etc... But let's not forget the so called halcyon days of the late 70s through to the 90s, where games were played in half empty stadiums, barbed wire fences and teams that often played a rather agricultural style of football if you revisit the games on You Tube. Liverpool completely dominated from the mid 70s. Champions 75-76, 76-77, 78-79, 79-80, 81-82, 82-83, 83-84 ( We came 2nd ..Average Dell crowd that season was 18,000. Capacity 24,000. £3 Adult ticket. 85-86, 87-88, 89, 90. .. Then Man Utd's virtual complete dominance of the 90s and early 00s. We're all moaning because we are crap this season and the club, players and manager have so far proven that they're not upto the task. ..nostalgia then kicks in. I'm sure Brentford and Brighton etc aren't moaning.....yet!

I've decided not to bother watching the game today and I've taken the kids upto watch Eastleigh v Forest Green Rovers. Only madmen and masochistics would want to watch today's inevitable unfolding horror show

I've never understood the constant hounding and criticism of Stephens. Certain people on here seem pretty obsessed with him tbh. Always found it strange to dislike one of our own players so much. I agree with the fact he's a fairly mediocre player with clear flaws in his game but there's only marginal differences between him and Bedders and THB.
-
ABK didn't really make much difference the year he played for us as we were relegated on 26 points.
-
From where I was sat you could see Stephens turn back at the ref and shout "Fu** you"

THB mistake cost us the Forest game and the first Brentford goal and I'm worried he'll not be an upgrade on Stephens as he's looked out of his depth so far this season. Hopefully he'll settle down with a run of games. Last season Stephens started in 4 of our 11 defeats. He didn't start the two 5 goal thrashings or the 4 goal home defeat by Leicester either. Average player with flaws.. Basically the same as our other defenders just vilified more than the others for some reason.
