  1. Pink kit looks better on...........
  2. Great…prancing around St Mary’s in the skate’s traditional colours. “Come On You Pinkos”
  3. Move aside Joe Aribo, there's a new kid in town https://www.facebook.com/enewztt/videos/pole-vaulter-goes-viral-on-social-media-after-his-crotch-cost-him-an-olympic-med/3677905175782777/
  4. We’re going to have to be more Play-Off-Final-Saints to keep it respectable rather than the usual (most recent Oxford/Millwall) tippy-tippy or it could get brutal.
  5. Most likely but (wouldn't know how they're fixed for CBs) maybe an exit door for ABK. Would be joining a very big club, will win things and get to play (albeit briefly) CL football. He might fancy it and excel up there.
  6. Love and light everyone. Love and light.
  7. Just had an email from the club about all the changes to St Mary's this summer and see in the safe standing section it states "A polite reminder that there will be NO home standing allowed in the Chapel/Kingsland areas. Anyone repeatedly standing will be asked to leave the stadium" https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/whats-changed-at-st-marys-this-season-everything-you-need-to-know-so-far Good to see the Northam change but many sitting in Block 37 will just be staring at the backs of those safe-standing in block 38 (same the other side). That's a lot of people to throw out! Maybe should have stretched safe standing round a bit further.
  8. What did someone see when buying Mara? Once at the checkout they must have ignored the ‘unexpected item in the bagging area’ and then foolishly chose not to check to receipt. He must be a wizard on the training ground.
  9. Yeah all sold out for Saints fans,£20 at the gate if you want to sneak in elsewhere...or, don't forget, £2.50 at the tail-lift...
  10. I've just been looking at this again and I can only really see those sitting in block 37 in the KIngsland and block 1 in the Itchen (particularly just the other side of the aisle from the safe standing) are going to struggle to see most of the goal at that end and even less the far corner. Maybe this image isn't a true reflection, or they're going to be more lenient with persistent standers in those blocks (but that would just nark the ones that chose to sit). Last 800 Forest tickets go on general sale tomorrow, mostly either side of the aways.
  11. Could be introduced to Saints fans at Oxford tomorrow night. All sold out of away tickets but I’ve had an idea…anyone got a flatbed truck and a pile of pallets?
  12. I’m only a member these days but my Forest ticket arrived last week. Strange you’re still waiting on a ST.
  13. If we're in the process of naming every SFC striker then I 'm chucking in this, short-lived but scored some vital goals https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/video/on-this-day-evans-brace-beats-forest (you'll have to sign in to see it) And...Peter Osgood
  14. It wouldn’t surprise if a couple of days after we play them in the PL opener that a deal is finalised. They probably want to avoid any possibility of “Ex-player comes back to haunt Magpies” type headlines.
  15. I would think any suitors for KWP and also Onuachu are quite happy to play the waiting game, they'd know we need to sell so they can just bide their time till the price drops. I'd love to keep KWP but I think the club have made their minds up and already replaced him and other clubs will know that we need to recoup some funds to strengthen other areas. Both WHU and Spurs will likely see him as a very good back-up at a great price towards the end of the window. Others will also be aware we desperately need to bring in a competent striker and will need to shift Tall Paul to do so. We may have to remain patient.
  16. Needless to say (see my username), most of my 'heroes' came from an earlier era but Steve Moran is, and will always be, a bit of a SFC legend. He scored some crackers, I was up at Anfield when he slotted home a late winner...but of course none were as special as 1984. Nice write up here, although where they got this bit of information from I don't know "Southampton are given a ticket allocation of 2,000 for the game but Saints folklore estimates nearly five times that many make the journey down the Solent for the game" officially we had 9,000 (25% of the gate, standard FA Cup allocation) but there were certainly forged tickets amongst Saints fans. That goal is featured in the write up so sit back and enjoy once more - best wishes to Steve for a speedy recovery https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/1233144/2019/09/24/finding-steve-moran-the-last-hero-of-fratton-park/
  17. They had no trouble sticking away fans pitchside in the corner a few years ago, getting away with taking the piss. 140 tickets left for this now.
  18. ...and this but prefer to remember this... (was hoping this was going to open the floodgates!)
  19. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/celtic-transfer-news-roundup-matt-33290325 Liverpool reportedly interested too
  20. Wacky...I wouldn't have thought Draper were overly enamoured with it, not exactly showing off their brand in all its glory
  21. I started going at the beginning of the 70s and I remember it was becoming quite common for supporters of numerous clubs to call their rivals “scum”. We mostly ignored them but some that went down to Milkin’s (think that was his name) testimonial in the late 60s saw the real start of the rivalry between us. It was also the when football hooliganism was becoming all the rage and, apparently, it was a bit ‘nawty’ that night. From that night some Saints fans changed ‘Pom’ for ‘scum’ and then referred to them as Scumpey. Tbh I can only remember them calling us scummers at first but some of ours were doing the same soon after - we should have just stuck with scumpey 😇
  22. I'm a member and and blocks 11-16 are blanked off, don't know if it is because myself and all 'friends and family' are adults and so restricts us from the family zone but otherwise it is sold out. There's around 1 thousand tickets left, over half of them either side of the away fans which will probably get snapped up by some young 'erberts if it makes general sale. Itchen North crowd didn't fancy that area then, may change next season if some don't get on with the Northam (will likely be forced to sit though).
  23. I’m no shirt-wearer but can’t really see much offensive about our new kits (other than a tacky sponsor), looked ropey on that leak but OK in-the-flesh. All about opinions…I think that Goztepe away shirt is fookin’ hideous
  24. Nah, that’s definitely a fella…but hey, whatever floats yer boat 🥴
