  1. Unbelievable……….My Wembley Playoff tickets have just arrived in the post this afternoon, all the way to West Berks, just a tad late I think.
  2. And me…..had to wait on the phone queue 1.5 hours this morning, fortunately I ignored the recorded answer you get when first get through, it was saying “please ring back after 15.00!!”, when the office was shutting at 14.00, wouldn’t refund the postage, and wouldn’t let me change my order from 2x adults to 2x over 65s…yes I was another of those caught out by the website, wasn’t asking to change seats, just pay what it should’ve be simple to do. see you all in the Sunday ticket queue…in the rain

  4. I waited an hour to get in, clicked on the yellow cat and over 65 button and after paying it shows I’ve bought to at full price in the blue area up in the gods…yes I’m happy I got tickets but I’ve paid double what I should and not got the closer seat I clicked on……maybe it’s coz I’m over 65 and didn’t understand the process, but pretty sure I did. Now I’m stuck with them as know one is answering at the ticket office.
  5. Thanks for the parking tips, have a great time 6ft8Saint.
  6. Fortunately I’m coming Saturday, 60 years ago my Grandad and my Dad bought a 6 year old me to The Dell coming down in the old Austin Cambridge from North West Ampshire. In those days we’d watch Saints or Basingstoke Town, whoever was at home that week. After decades of season tickets, even memorable away days at Grimsby and terrible memories of Tranmere!! Plus 1000 odd other matches it’s time to again bring in the next generation, so 60 years on there’ll be Grandad (me) Dad (my son) and my 6 year old Grandson for his first match….waited years to do this.
  7. Haven’t driven down from Berkshire for a few years, is there still plenty of little pay on the day car parks near to the ground, bringing grandson for his first game so want as close as possible and at what time might they get full ?. Any recommendations gratefully received. cheers.
  8. Originally from Kingsclere where my dad and grandad were Saints and we’d drive down to home games in the old Ford Pop or latterly Austin Cambridge during 1960s and 70s, my first games were aged 4, standing on a beer crate at the front, Late 70s I moved to Basingstoke and went to almost every game home and away with a group that met in South Ham, Basingstoke, sometimes 30 plus in one or two transit vans, often no windows, called ourselves “The Basingstoke Brigade”, there was also a coach from Basingstoke to every home match but we didn’t use that as it was too civilised 😉
