Oh he’s broken it all right.

Luton haven’t found it so easy though. Sheff Utd also have a manager who has a lot of positive history as a manager and player there who knows that league.

Lavia is a good player but missed a lot of games, and for Romeo not to be replaced was astonishing. Still not been replaced and not signed another central midfielder who has a backbone let alone put their foot in. Downes gets booked for niggling fouls, Oriol would take them for dangerous moments and to be the best memory never got a second booking. Downes, Aribo, Smallbone - as someone who grew up in the era of Jimmy Case that’s depressing, and slightly younger fans experienced Morgan and Victor, then Oriol. Quite some downgrade from theirs.

Couldn’t afford to, needed the land sale to move into SMS and would have been a hassle with the asbestos roofs degrading etc.

They all shy away from the truth on taxation https://ifs.org.uk/articles/parties-should-avoid-tax-pledges-they-may-come-regret https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckkkk90lw50o Reform’s was the most illiterate of all though and that was going some with the conspiracy of silence https://ifs.org.uk/articles/reform-uk-manifesto-reaction The Media don’t help matters - the questioning and formats are so poor and lack incisiveness. The public need to be told in blunt terms as adults if the parties won’t that if you want Brexit with a much smaller economy, levelling up and full public services pre-2010, plus public ownership of railways and utilities, that’s got to be funded and doesn’t work with US levels of taxation.

Reform as part of any coalition or a majority - that would be the final nail in the coffin for the country. As anyone who had to witness the carnage of Lowe running SFC knows all too well. And Brexit has been a disaster. Labour will leak seats all over the country next time out, just hoping the Liberal vote holds up/increases further and tactical voting might keep them out. Tories could lose seats to Reform outright, Badenoch really is struggling.

It is huge, when you consider the disaffected players because their boyfriend was sacked, KWP OOC, Larios and Stewart to be settled with/retired, some players that look miles off any standard with a 17-year olds frame (Smallbone) and loanees who might not want to return to a basket case (AA, Charles, BBD, Edozie, Edwards). Then there’s the income generation - Ramsdale, Dibling, THB, probably Fernandes. Goztepe-based players - will some of those be joining as effective new signings from SR’s best-performing club? And that’s before he actually evaluates who is good enough.
-
They won’t be though, complacent as fuck. Club has been for years.
-
Didn’t do them any good 😂

Their fans gave him loads of shit last season as well which he criticised them for in public. Been dreadful this season, didn’t even put it in for his ‘hero’. Had to manage staff like him and they stink the workplace out, and irritate the hell out of your good staff.

Not unless Farage finds a policy issue u-30s can lock onto as other populist outfits have https://unherd.com/newsroom/reform-uk-still-has-a-youth-problem/ Cultural wedge issues won’t work here like they have for the Republicans.

Been watching the Italy v Wales rugby and keeping an eye on this before England v France. This cup tie sounds about as appetising as a lard pie.
-
That is the perfect summary of the modern Republican Party and MAGA - abolish the Department of Education. Classic fascist playbook.
-
Quite possible although it’s a staggering lack of professionalism either way. That was hardly a marginal one to the naked eye.

It’s a distraction technique to disguise the raping and pillaging of the Federal Finances by Musk and his cult. We all know what they’re doing.

The hammerings as a fan I've had to endure
Gloucester Saint replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
Luton 7-0 under Nicholl on the plastic, and 6-1 there later. 7-1 Everton with us 5-0 down after 30 minutes and Heaney as an emergency LB v peak Kanchelskis. Hmmm. 5-0 Newcastle on Sky under Jones, 2-0 down in 3 minutes. Last season Sunderland and Leicester away were as bad as any hammerings. This season Spurs and Chelsea home could have been double figures easily, serious contenders for worst ever Saints performances. I’ve seen us give out a few as well - Sunderland 8-0, Villa 5-0 and 6-1, Man U famously 6-3, Spurs 4-0. Newcastle home back to back. And we ran riot in League One and Champ at times - Hudds twice, Oldham away 0-6, Derby, Swansea last season. -
I always felt that the UK electorate made broadly the right calls until the EU Referendum. Poor campaign by Remain but Leave told some fucking whoppers and captured the governing party by stealth. The oldies are enraptured by Reform and their shady funders, but that may fade as the wheels come off Trump’s car and Farage gets exposed on the NHS and the economy.

Still playing in the Western League along with coaching kids https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calum_Davenport Professional part of his career was quite short all told. Agree he was terrible, even worse than Olivier Bernard was. And that’s bad.

Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival yesterday. Some cracking beers - Chocolate Marble from Manchester was my favourite. Couple of good Milds by Bradfield in Yorks and Moor in Somerset. Brew York’s Clementine Chameleon was great in breaking up the darker beers and bringing some freshness. I usually like Clavell & Hind stuff but wasn’t sold on their stout.

That’s a shocker https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/czrl25k748vo Nothing will be done though, any more than Steve Dunn against us in the quarter final in 1996 there which Fergie said ought to have stood. It’s either pure negligence, poor eyesight or closet supporting for Utd. VAR is not the issue - our officials are and have been for 20 years. This was supposed to stop when they were allowed to go full time but it’s just getting worse.
-
If there’s interest in him, it means Saints and SR are doing better, which can only be a good thing. Shields was a bit of an outlier, that seemed to be driven by the Lavia transfer, because the other imports from City were terrible (Bazanu), invisible (Larios) or at best average (Edozie).

Bitcon was singing 🎵 We’re going down with the Leicester 🎵 as his pen hit the paper. And probably missed.

Correct on income, although possibly not on spending assuming Brum and Wrexham go up this season. It’s what the club does in the market this time which hopefully is where Spores is the different variable. Last time we bought a semi-retired striker and a £15m DMC Russell Martin didn’t like or particularly use. Fortunately they did decide to let Che run his contract down and AA hit gold which saved the bacon. Selling was good on prices - Lavia, Tella, JWP - but the buying remained poor. Loans were used well - Downes, Brookes, Rothwell which will be important again.

They didn’t always prevail though - Big Ron’s last act as Utd boss
