  1. Him and Walcott have been consistent in their respect to Saints fans home and away. The good guys.
  2. To be fair, they'll stand three deep in front of both sets of players. But if you can't get that close to the Saints players I see nothing wrong in taking pics of Liverpool players. Personally though, I'd make everyone give up their phones at the turnstile....
  3. And the wrong sport....
  4. Yes. That’s why it’s called a fake...
  5. I was prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt until you used the phrase 100 percent FACT. Now I know its rubbish ;-)
  6. Probably not many as the eBay offer shows delivery after 7 Aug. Might see a few genuine UA shirts
  7. I'm not blaming. Koeman either. My point was it was the right decision at the time. The blame game sucks.
  8. It's the best shirt deal in the clubs history. Daft to cancel.
  9. To be fair it was Koeman who said that once you start playing regularly in Europe you need a much bigger squad to rotate with quality back ups in every position. The club backed him and then he left and we dropped out of Europe. But hey, lets blame Reed and Krueger. it's much easier for some to ge their head around.
  10. Errr.... this has been the philosophy of the club ever since Cortese left. Gao has merely bought in to that philosophy. A couple of wobbles like the huge sum paid for Carrillo shows that the alternative is not that brilliant (for a club like ours).
  11. We have people already who produce video analysis. They were here already when Röhl arrived. Ralph rightly wanted people around him who had knowledge of the U23s (Fleming / Davies) so that he can promote the right players to the first team at the right time. We were actually starting to look a little top heavy at first team level. Can quite understand why we don't now need Röhl.
  12. Unless you invest more in the 16-19 age bracket as we are doing.
  13. The pic above is definitely a fake. It is missing the hologram UA logo at the foot of the shirt front. Got my UA direct one in the post today (without sponsor, so well pleased). It is made in Thailand where I guess the production problems originated. But lets not pick on a 14 year old on minimum wage being taken advantage of by a mega rich kit supplier. Actually the quality is pretty good. U23s were wearing the firs team shirt last night at Eastleigh so no doubt we will see the first team wearing it on Saturday
  14. Exactly my thoughts. Hoedt, Vest and Stephens are decent CBs but have made horrendous mistakes because their decision making was poor or they were just too slow. These two issues are exactly what Ralph is focusing on in pre season training. I did smile when the previous poster talked about how we no longer appear to sign decent CBs like VVD, Fonte, Lovren, Toby et al. To me this is very recent history lol.
  15. Wet Spam apparently
  16. I like that bit about special dispensation to have an academy at Bath because we are located on the coast. Not much to recruit in the Channel?? Have they not heard of Le God???
  17. Yes I remember the backlash to the pink look. At the time of release it was one of the worst received kits - along with the Pony kit. Time is a great healer though and a lot of people seem to look back on both kits with nostalgia.
  18. Quickly logs on for Carrillo update.. ...logs off again...
  19. Seems unlikely as Ralph a big fan and can’t see anything on his instagram- sure he didn’t mean Afolabi who has been interesting a few clubs?
  20. Van Gobbel on Cantona right on the stroke of half time in front of the Archers Road fans was pretty tasty. Ref blew up to avoid blood shed. But the Frannie tackle was the outright winner for me - I love the way he pleads innocence.

    Well said that man!
  22. Bit surprised you think this. In the recent fans forum it was confirmed that all savings from player sales, salaries and tv money could be reinvested in the squad. Combined with the fact that we are virtually debt free that puts us in a better position than most clubs other than those who have sugar daddies (which , thankfully, we don't) I would only be concerned here if I believed we only started negotiations 3 days before the close of the window. The reality is we probably start before the transfer window actually opens. Selling clubs have plenty of times to devise a strategy in case they lose their best players but will hold out to the last minute if they can. At the end of the day - as we found out - there is often little point in retaining a player against his will Haha. Thanks for the clarification. I always though it was Les Reed who was the target of the blame game. Ralph has very little to do with transfers other than the discussion that comes beofre the board. Ross Wilson's team will do the work and Toby Steele will lead on contract negotitations (formerly Gareth Rogers). You may be right about not signing anyone but it will only be because we don't want to be taken to the cleaners in a window where players are traditionally overpiced.
  23. Seriously? Did you not watch the fan forum? These are the future of our club. Ralph has spoken.
  24. Six wonderful years destroyed in just two transfers...
  25. He's no better or worse than a dozen or more CBs we've had over the years. Brilliant on their day; a nightmare on others. We got spoilt with VVD - players like that come around only every 10 years or so.
