MLT’s words on the telephone to SSN “It’s been a frustrating time for us despite several attempts for clarity over the FL position over a licence related matter to which we still have no answer. It’s not a new issue but it has to be resolved to our satisfaction in order to conclude the takeover. Despite continuing outside interference with our bid we’re committed to complete the deal as we feel it’s in the best long term interests of SFC which is obviously what I care most about. We’re hoping that we can get this resolved shortly and the next announcement that we will make will be to confirm the takeover and I would just like to thank the staff at the Football Club and indeed the fans for their patience and their support in this matter, I can tell them it’s appreciated from all concerned.” MLT added in a statement “Certain legal aspects which were not part of the original terms which we agreed to enter into have only been made available within the last 48 hours. The details of these matters are governed by a NDA which we entered into and we have adhered to in every respect”

This was even on main Sky News.

Anything wrong with that. We're all fans some may belong to MENSA, and those that aren't can still sing COYR!
-
SB sure you didn't mean enema, we could all do with a clear out!
-
He'd probably give him a second hand bike!
-
Ronaldo? Are you Terry paine in disguise? The larger photo on the OS looks like him?
-
Has anyone ever considered he is just professional in his business dealings. He may well have good business reasons also, for example, whilst he has the requisite funds to buy the club and launch us for the next few years he might well still be seeking additional investment for the future. Please don't misinterpret this as he doesn't have the funds (although it will be difficult to stop some!) just an example that the guy is being professional and may just have is own reasons. I imagine if his name was released now, someone would start tracking his every move etc. I can wait and if I never learn who he is, he still has my thanks. Alan

Great that he did, but I hope we are not all expecting him to come on and quash every rumour, otherwise they'll never complete on time!!

Phil Your posts were always some of those I would read when scanning threads, but since the Pinnacle announcement I just don't get where you are coming from. You seem to have an axe to grind or are having too much fun before posting! No offence. Alan

I repeat Can you hear Southampton Sing.... ...there's a life about to start when tomorrow comes ;-))

How about free ticket with each ST purchased?
-
So it's Flanagan AND Allen?
-
Bit annoyed Gordon Brown knows before me!

I too have pondered this one for a while. I can only think that he was a friend (associate) or friend of a friend e.g. MLT TL statement does say he was approached by the main man and then had a coffee with MLT but who introduced who? Personally I think the friend of a friend of a friend could be Micky Channon. Happy to wait and see but like saintbletch I just can't reconcile it, never have done either way good on TL and MLT Alan

Surely one of the challenges for the next 19 days (& counting) will be to identify a new/keep existing manager. Is this something MLT will be doing or confirming if already decided?
-
We've been doing this a few years now.
-
THought there was only one person would beat me to it!
-
Why cant we make ST applications now, on the basis they are not processed until there is a new owner? That would help them see the level of support they are going to get.
-
I'd be happy to support both of them!
-
Nothing new today yet we are updating the OS! I just dont get it! http://saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11778

In Dublin's fair city, where the girls are so pretty I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone As she wheeled her wheel-barrow Through streets broad and narrow Singing clapclapclapclapclap clapclapclapclap DAVIES As I remember?

Anyone remember this from the Channon/Big Ron days, always ended up with hand clap then a players name, Big Ron? Cheers, Alan
